To properly choose a knife for a lawn mower, you need to pay attention to several aspects:

1) Manufacturer (brand) and model of mower.

In the description of the auction we give typical brands and models, to which the knife fits, but it is impossible to list them all. Therefore, the best way to choose a knife is to measure it.

2) Original part number.

It is possible that the original part number has still been preserved on your knife. It is very helpful in choosing a knife, but if it differs from the one we give in the description, it does not mean that our knife will not fit your mower. Manufacturers often replace part numbers without modifying them.

3) Photo of the knife.

Your knife may differ from the photo posted in our store. This does not mean that it will not fit your lawn mower. More important than the appearance are the technical parameters given below.

4) Length of knife.

The length of the knife is measured on a longer diagonal. In the description we give a length of approximately 5 mm.

5) Center bore diameter.

A very important element of knife selection. The difference up to 2 mm may be due to the method of measurement. If the other parameters match, then the knife will most likely fit your mower. There are also holes of non-spherical shape. In this case, pay special attention to the photo.

6) Side hole diameter (if any).

Not all knives have side holes and even if they occur, in many cases they are unused. Check if there is an element in your mower that enters these holes. If not, you don’t need to check their diameter.

7) Side hole spacing (if any).

The spacing is measured centrally, i.e. between the centers of the holes.

8) Does the knife have a mulching function?

The blade of a knife with a mulching function is usually bent.

9) Does the knife have the function of collecting grass into the basket?

90% of mower knives have this feature. It can be known by the characteristic "wings" or "blades" at both ends of the knife.
