The entire vessel on the outside and inside is covered with enamel which gives it color and shine and thanks to which the barrel is resistant to acids, so it is perfect for preparing silage but also for curing meat. This ecological and simple method will allow us to pickle both traditional preserves such as cucumbers and cabbage, but also those more modern such as tomatoes or plums – which are a fantastic addition to salads, cold cuts and stews.

After flooding the flange, carbon dioxide pushes oxygen out of the center so an anaerobic atmosphere forms inside the barrel.
