The AL 18V-44 charger from BOSCH is designed for charging lithium-ion batteries with a voltage of 14,4V and 18V from BOSCH. These batteries are used in all available power tools from the green line and garden company BOSCH.

The charger is not intended to recharge lithium-ion batteries used in power tools from the professional (blue) line.

BOSCH lithium-ion batteries are rechargeable batteries that can be recharged at any time. No matter whether the batteries are completely discharged or charged to any degree, the charging process can be started at any time, and the degree of battery charge only affects the time in which the charger fully charges the battery.

SYSTEM POWER FOR ALL

That is one battery and one charger to support all power tools from the offer of amateur and garden tools from BOSCH.

This allows for a very free expansion of your cordless power tools in your workshop, and in addition to typical cordless power tools, BOSCH offers a very wide range of garden power tools.

Thanks to this solution, it is enough to have 1 or 2 batteries, 1 mains charger and a wide range of power tools, which from year to year will be developed with more and more interesting proposals from BOSCH.

Intelligent charging system from BOSCH with microprocessor control, thanks to which the charger automatically recognizes:

• current state of charge of the battery
• battery temperature
• battery voltage

and selects the most appropriate charging algorithm and optimal charging current, and after the process is completed, the charging automatically turns off and goes into the battery charge maintenance state, this has a major impact on extending the battery life, and besides, the battery will be constantly fully charged throughout the time it is stored in the charger

The AL 18V-44 charger from BOSCH is the latest charger with a microprocessor control system, equipped with the ReadyToGO system, thanks to which within 40 minutes of charging the battery reaches 80% capacity, and within 60 minutes reaches a state of full charge - 100%

The temperature control system of the charged battery, automatically recognizes the temperature of the charged battery and if it is too low or too high interrupts the charging process, which significantly increases the battery life (the battery should be charged at 0°C to +45°C)

Overload temperature protection of the charger prevents overheating of the charger during operation, thus protecting the charger and the charged battery from damage

ReadyToGO system - the system allows you to quickly charge the battery up to 80% of its capacity. After reaching this value, the battery can be used to complete the work. If the battery still remains in the charger, it goes into the standard charging state.

Continuous illumination of the red LED informs about damage or incorrect temperature of the battery. If the charger recognizes too low or too high temperature, then the charging process is interrupted until the correct temperature of the battery is reached (the battery should be charged at a temperature from 0°C to +45°C).

Copper cell connectors provide less resistance and prevent power loss. In addition, copper releases heat faster, protecting cells from overheating.

Housing made of durable plastic protects the battery from any mechanical damage, the battery maintains full efficiency and functionality even after falling from a height of 3 meters to concrete.

LED battery status indicator or 4 built-in green LEDs that inform the user about the current state of charge of the battery and the remaining energy reserve to be used.

The built-in switch activates the illumination of LEDs, which properly inform:

• 4 LEDs – the battery is charged from 75 to 100%
• 3 LEDs – the battery is charged from 50 to 75%
• 2 LEDs – the battery is charged from 25 to 50%
• 1 diode – the battery is charged below 25%
• flashing 1 LED – battery is charged below 5%

Built-in ECP system – electronic battery protection system: this system is offered in all BOSCH battery tools powered by lithium-ion batteries, thanks to which the battery cells are supervised by electronics that protect the battery from any damage. This system controls the output power and rotational speed of the device and reduces it in the following cases:

• tool overload
• deep discharge of the battery
• engine overheating
• too high battery temperature

The above criteria can lead to damage to battery cells and a significant shortening of the service life, which is why BOSCH offering an ECP system in battery tools provides users with a long period of trouble-free operation, both tools and lithium-ion batteries.
