Herman Sprenger ULTRA-PLUS training spike, mini version. Length 43 cm, wire 2,25 mm, link 3 cm. Stainless steel with black galvanic coating, ClickLock clasp on the side.

How to choose the length

Measure your dog’s neck circumference tightly, without supplies, high on the neck, just behind the ears and under the jaw. At this point, the earring is supposed to lie during work, not slide on the shoulders. The measured number is the length of the earring you are looking for. Don't add anything to it.

This earring is 43 cm. You can shorten it without tools by removing the links. One link is 3 cm, so without one link the earring is 40 cm, and without two 37 cm.

If the measurement falls between these lengths, check out our listings in other sizes. Often it is the adjacent length after removing the link that goes exactly into the circumference of the neck.

Herman Sprenger is a German manufacturer with over 150 years of tradition in the manufacture of training equipment for dogs. His equipment is standard in professional dog training around the world.

The central plate distributes pressure evenly on both sides of the dog's neck and relieves the larynx. The cells are rounded, without sharp edges. A chain that limits the clamping range passes through the collar, so the correction is precise and controlled.

The mini version has a thinner wire of 2,25 mm and shorter links of 3 cm. It works more subtly than the classic version of 3,2 mm and is designed for dogs with a smaller or slimmer neck.

The ClickLock closure on the side allows you to put on and take off the collar without dragging it over your dog's head. The integrated cover protects the clasp from accidental opening, so the earring also works well for dogs with a large head circumference.

The ULTRA-PLUS system allows you to add and subtract links without tools, so you can adjust the earring to fit your dog's neck, even when their circumference changes over time.

The black finish is created by galvanic blackening and polishing the surface. The manufacturer notes that the coating is not durable and naturally rubs in places of contact and friction. Dogs with very light or white hair may experience hair discoloration at the point of contact with the black collar.

The earring is designed to work on a leash during active training. Do not use it while running freely, in transport or unattended.
