What do non-slip classes mean?

Anti-slip performance for the foot is defined by classes R9 to R13 (DIN 51130). Individual classes indicate the level of friction coefficient. This factor defines the maximum angle of inclination of the surface at which the surface is non-slip.

R 9 (6-10° angle) - basic anti-slip class completely sufficient for most applications for places with ordinary traffic.

R10 (10-19° angle) - dedicated wherever users are exposed to more moisture and dirt beyond normal use, such as lubricants, oils or larger amounts of water.

R 11 (19-27° angle) – providing great grip for moving people. Required wherever the highest quality and safety of floor covering is required.

R 12 (27-35° angle) - class requirements are met by surfaces for special tasks. They should be used wherever the risk of falling is high.

R 13 (angle >35°) - The highest possible anti-slip class. Solutions of this type are designed for rooms with huge traffic and high risk of falling.

Safe delivery in cardboard tubes – the pad is well protected and is not exposed to damage and bending. In addition, the tubes are protected with stretch film to protect against rain/moisture during delivery of the package.

Assembly instructions:

Dry gluing method

(requires more practice due to the inability to peel off and re-stick the film if correction is necessary)

Recommended tools:

• Clean Protect IZO universal degreaser,
• squeegee.

1a) Surface (floor, stairs, windows, doors, etc. ) should be cleaned dry and then degreased with a cloth soaked with degreasing agent, e.g. Clean Protect IZO available at our auctions.

It should be remembered to test the effect of the preparation on a small, invisible fragment of the glued surface.

2a) We gradually remove the protective paper and stick Clean Protect pads from the shorter side gradually peeling off the tape.

3a) The surface of the film is leveled with a cloth or squeegee (available at our auctions). If air bubbles form, they can be pierced with a needle.

4a) Ready!

Wet bonding method

(allows correction of the position of the film, recommended especially in the case of wrapping larger areas)

Recommended tools:

• Clean Protect IZO universal degreaser,
• liquid for application of Clean Protect WET film,
• squeegee,
• paper towels.

1b) Surface (floor, stairs, windows, doors, etc. ) should be cleaned dry and then degreased with a cloth soaked with degreasing agent, e.g. Clean Protect IZO available at our auctions.

• It should be remembered to test the effect of the preparation on a small, invisible fragment of the glued surface.

2b) We abundantly and evenly spray Clean Protect WET liquid on the place where the film will be applied.

• For wood surfaces, wood-like panels, etc. Remember to spray only places well protected against water penetration.

3b) We gradually remove the protective paper and put the film on a wet surface and put it in the right place.

4b) We smooth the foil with a squeegee squeezing water from underneath, starting from the center towards the edges. Pay attention not to move the film. Wipe the water with a paper towel or absorbent cloth.

It is worth remembering:

- in the case of varnished surfaces, it is recommended to use overlays not earlier than about a week after varnishing. This is the time necessary to completely dry the varnish.

- in the case of using overlays on varnished surfaces, it is worth performing a test of varnish hardness by sticking and peeling off a small fragment of the overlay.

-before peeling off used overlays, it is worth heating the overlays (e.g. with a dryer) – glue residues can be removed with a cloth soaked, e.g. Clean Protect label.
