HiFiMAN Sundara Closed-Back Stealth Magnets

Due to the excellent sound and affordable price, Sundar’s HiFiMAN open headphones are still one of the most popular models of planar headphones from this manufacturer. Now they gain a new companion in the form of a closed-shaped model – Sundara Closed-Back.

Sundar Closed-Back headphones, like the open version, are equipped with an ultra-thin NEO "supernano" membrane (NsD) and supplemented with the latest HiFiMAN technology - invisible Stealth Magnets.

Closed construction and beech wood shells

Sundara Closed-Back are planar headphones with a closed design and as such, they offer users separation from ambient noise, and at the same time because the sound does not get out, as it is in an open design, they provide the user with greater discretion as to the materials being listened to, which will certainly also be appreciated by co-home members.

Stylish, hand-assembled ear cups with beautiful beech wood shells attract attention and although the color brings to mind the R10D model, Sundara shells are definitely shallower.

Super fast, ultra-thin NEO "supernano" membrane (NsD)

At the heart of the headphones that came out of the HiFiMAN lab is the ultra-thin NEO Supernano (NsD) membrane – 80% thinner than the membranes in other popular headphones. This results in fast response, high dynamics and detailed imaging.

Stealth Magnets, or acoustically "invisible magnets"

Compared to magnets with a rectangular cross-section, which are used in standard planar constructions, the latest solution introduced by HIFIMAN, i.e. acoustically transparent Stealth Magnets, radically reduces turbulence and diffraction of sound waves that impair the quality of sound reaching our ears.

Stealth Magnets, thanks to their unique shape, provide collision-free sound wave transitions and no interference that would occur with magnets of standard construction. This has a significant impact on reducing wave diffraction, i.e. their dispersion, which allows to maintain their integrity and manifests itself in a cleaner, more detailed sound and even more faithful building of the sound stage.

Sundara Closed-Back headphones are distinguished by high efficiency, up to 98dB. This allows them to be easily controlled, even when connected to mobile devices.

Large space, stunning detail and outstanding bass control

The ultra-wide frequency response allows for seamless and faithful reproduction of the smallest details – from the bass to ultrasound. Sundara Closed-Back o provides high resolution, excellent dynamics, outstanding bass control and surprisingly large, for a closed structure, spatiality of sound.

Hybrid headband

The new version of Sundary Closed-Back retains a black, hybrid headband with a band and precise adjustment, which allows for a proper fit to any head size and high comfort of use. Comfortable ear cups are made of smooth eco-friendly leather, the edges of the pads are covered with elastic mesh with hexagonal structure, and their interior is filled with high-quality shape memory foam. Proper balance makes the weight of the headphones imperceptible even during long listening sessions.

Included with the headphones are a detachable double-sided mini Jack 3.5mm cable with a 6.35mm large Jack adapter with a length of 1,5m, which ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices.
