7-inch HD WXGA display

The iLX-705D has the best 7-inch display we have ever placed in a 2DIN unit. The 7-inch HD touchscreen display has a resolution of 1280 x 720p (WXGA) and offers stunningly vivid colors and contrast – making icons, menus and visual content even more clear on the dashboard. A high-resolution screen is particularly useful when displaying small text or similar items on navigation maps.

Wireless Apple CarPlay

The iLX-705D “works with Apple CarPlay” wirelessly and allows iPhone users to make and receive calls, access and write text messages, play music, and get directions in a way that allows them to focus on the road. Apple CarPlay is accessed via a capacitive touchscreen or microphone button to activate Siri voice control. With a WiFi connection, you can keep your iPhone in your pocket and not have to plug it in all the time (except charging).

2x USB ports

Although the iLX-705D is a mechanismless device (it does not have a built-in CD/DVD drive), it still offers many entertainment options. The 2 USB ports on the back of the device allow you to connect one mobile device for charging, for example, while the other USB port is used to connect a USB stick or hard drive to access audio and video files.

Compatibility with Android Auto

Android Auto allows you to use hundreds of useful applications for smartphones with the Alpine system (wired connection). There are many popular navigation apps available, such as Google Maps, Sygic, Waze, Magic Earth - to name a few. The world's first radio player with built-in Class D amplifier

The iLX-705D is next to the new Alpine Halo11 and Halo9 the world’s first aftermarket radio player equipped with a built-in 4x 50W Class D amplifier – delivering excellent, high-quality sound reproduction with very low noise and phase shifts. The key advantage of Class D amplification technology is its high efficiency of about 90%, compared to 50-70% for Class AB amplifiers. The new high-speed fans with internal heat sinks provide cooling for the Alpine stereo system and music playback.

Featuring 56-band advanced mode parametric equalizer, 2-way digital X-over, 6-channel digital time correction, and several Bass Engine SQ and MediaXpander sound tuning options, you have the perfect tools at your disposal to tune your iLX-705D and connected amplifier/speaker system to perfection. But we didn’t stop there: the iLX-705D is Hi-Res Audio certified and can decode and play Hi-Res Audio files up to 96 kHz / 1.536 kbps from USB sources in uncompressed supported formats such as FLAC, WAV and APE.

Wide entertainment options

The all-new DAB radio tuner allows DAB - FM switching and allows you to enjoy smooth radio reception without interference. In addition to the increased number of USB video playback formats (MP4, MOV, FLV, MKV), the iLX-705D offers many additional entertainment options: the built-in Bluetooth module allows you to stream audio from your phone, and the HDMI input allows you to connect an external video playback device.

Vehicle data bus connection

If your car is equipped with parking sensors, you can still enjoy these convenient features with the iLX-705D. Alpine offers multiple vehicle data bus interfaces that allow you to connect your Alpine device to your vehicle data bus system. This allows compatibility with the control buttons on the steering wheel of the vehicle, displaying air conditioning settings and parking sensors.

Drive Assistance Cameras

The reversing camera is a great way to increase safety when reversing. The camera image turns on automatically when reverse gear is turned on, and distance indicators appear on the screen that can be adjusted to the size of the car to help with safe parking. Alpine offers a wide range of forward and backward facing cameras, including multi-view cameras with a choice of viewing angles. You can even display the camera screen and parking sensor screen simultaneously if your car supports it.

Wireless control knob

Separately available, the RUE-BK01 knob is designed for the 2022 Halo series, but also works with the iLX-705D (requires custom installation in the center console or dashboard). Rotating the knob adjusts the output volume of the main unit, and pressing it activates the reversing camera on the screen.Note: this knob does not work if the Apple CarPlay wireless feature is active.

Hi-Res Audio Streaming via Bluetooth

Wireless Bluetooth connection to a smartphone or digital audio player that supports Bluetooth technology is also possible thanks to the built-in high-end LDAC standards. With LDAC, you can stream audio content, including high-resolution audio (Hi-Res), with a maximum transmission rate of 990 kbps over Bluetooth. This makes this Alpine radio ideal for high-definition audio playback and high-quality audio streaming services. Thanks to this technology, the transmission rate is constantly adjusted to ensure a stable connection even in difficult conditions, depending on network conditions.
