Excursion HXA-5K

1-channel car amplifier with a power of 1x1000/2000/3000W, stable up to 0,5Ω , digital (class D), bridge-Link capability, Hi/Lo signal inputs, Auto Turn On/Off, small dimensions.

Digital 1-channel amplifier with very high efficiency and small dimensions built on the basis of a double-sided PCB made in SMD surface mounting technology. The amplifier is equipped with a noise and interference elimination system, as well as a multi-way protection system against overload, short circuit at the speaker output, overheating and too low or too high supply voltage. The standard equipment also includes smoothly adjustable LP and HP filters with the ability to work in the BP Subsonic mode (Band Pass), a bass enhancement equalizer "Bass Boost", an "Auto Turn ON/OFF" system that controls switching the amplifier on and off, and "High/ Low Input” for the audio signal at speaker level and RCA level (common signal inputs for "High/Low" mode via RCA sockets). All 1-channel Excursion amplifiers from the HXA series have the possibility of linking, i.e. joint operation of two identical models in the BRIDGE connection system (one as Master control, the other as Slave). The HXA-5K amplifier can work stably with a load with a minimum impedance of 0,5Ω with a standard connection configuration or 1Ω in a system of two identical amplifiers working together in BRIDGE mode (bridge). This model can also be equipped with the optional Excursion HXA-RC subwoofer remote volume control.

TURN ON/OFF - 3 amplifier control options (Remote)

The Excursion HXA-5K amplifier has a “Remote” system responsible for switching on and off the amplifier, which can operate in three modes selected by the ON/OFF switch. The first variant (REM) works for the HIGH and LOW input signals and this is the standard amplifier control by supplying +12V voltage to its REM connector. The other two control variants (DC and AUDIO option) work as an "Auto Turn On/Off" chip and can be used in the event that the radio player does not have a standard "Remote" control output. If the ON/OFF switch is in the DC position and the type of HIGH signal input (speaker level signal) has been selected before, the system will automatically turn on the amplifier when, after turning on the radio player, a constant voltage of approx. appears on its speaker wires. 6V in relation to the power supply mass. This type of control can be used for most standard radio players with an internal power amplifier built on the basis of integrated circuits. However, this option may not work with more advanced factory audio systems that have been equipped with an external amplifier, where there is no constant voltage on the speaker wires (e.g. some BMW models). If the ON/OFF switch is in the AUDIO position, the system will switch the amplifier on or off depending on the detection of the presence of audio signal pulses on the RCA signal inputs. This mode has a time delay system. When using the "Auto Turn On/Off" chip (DC or AUDIO option), the +12V REM connector located at the connectors of the power cables acts as an automatically controlled REMOTE output, which can be used to switch on/off other devices, e.g. more power amplifiers.
