AQUALOON is a modern filter bed of the latest generation consisting of micro synthetic PET fibers (polyethylene terephthalate), which was developed by French scientists to replace inefficient filter deposits in garden pools, ponds, SPA baths and even aquariums. Quartz sand is much heavier and less efficient and AQUALOON balls are light and filter water much better and faster.

This sensational filter material consists of special balls of polymer fibers of varying length and structure, resembling cotton wool balls consisting of a network of interwoven fine threads, which are produced in such a way as to prevent their fraying and release of their residues. AQUALOON balls are microporous and have a very high ability to retain impurities. The spherical shape has been consciously chosen – it maximizes the filtration surface and retention capacity. The resistance of AQUALOON in the filter is several times smaller than that of sand or filter glass, which reduces the load on the pump and increases its energy efficiency, and the pool pump is by far the largest energy consumer in your yard. This means noticeable savings on every electricity bill! The balls arranged in the pool filter form a coherent bed with a very high filtration accuracy of up to 3 microns! With such an accurate filter, there is no need for flocking agents (coagulants), and the need to rinse the filter has been reduced fifteen times! Thanks to this, the user has obvious savings in the form of lower water and energy consumption. Due to its light weight, AQUALOON is very easy to remove from the filter for complete cleaning or replacement.

How to use: AQUALOON balls should be inserted in bulk without kneading in place of the existing filter (sand) and the filter pump should be turned on and used in the current way. Due to their white color, they are an excellent indicator of contamination and thus the quality of the filtration process. At first glance, you can see what their condition is. When AQUALOON gets dirty, simply rinse the bed under a strong stream of water, wash by hand or even in the washing machine by inserting balls into the mesh. After washing, put back into the pump. It is recommended to check the condition of the balls every approx. 4 weeks. The AQUALOON used in this way will easily last for 5-7 years depending on the size of the pool and the degree of contamination of the filter, giving you crystal clear water. The best part is that you will only have to rinse the pool filter system four times a year, not four times a month! This is from an ecological point of view great news for our aquifer as well as for our wallet when paying water bills!
