Natural filtration method

The mechanism of operation of the sand pump has been taken from nature, it is in fast streams and rivers that water is the cleanest, the sand or stony bottom effectively cleanses water from any dirt.

The pump insert, i.e. quartz or glass sand, acts as an effective filtrate, the water pressing through the fine grains becomes crystal clear and transparent.

The pump filters out both leaves or hair, as well as the smallest impurities, such as pollen, dust or small insects. Polyester filter balls, soft, fluffy and very absorbent, also work great as a load. In addition, much less than sand burdens the pump, because they do not produce as much water resistance.

Easy maintenance

The filter cartridge in the form of sand or filter balls requires much less work than the maintenance of cartridge filters, which should be rinsed and cleaned every few days. Sand is enough to rinse once every two weeks, in case of larger dirt you can every 7 days. Replacement of the cartridge in the sand pump is recommended to be done every 3 season, cartridge filters with more dirt should be replaced even every two weeks, which unfortunately is associated with much higher expenses. Sand pumps are much more expensive than cartridge pumps, but with such economical use, this cost will pay off very quickly.

Quick and easy setting of a given operating mode

The pump has a convenient transmission, thanks to which you can efficiently choose the right mode of operation for your current needs. The 6-function valve allows you to easily control the filter:

• Filtering – pump through sand purifies water
• Closure – closing the water circuit, set this mode during pump and filter maintenance
• Back wash – water flows in the opposite direction than at the time of filtration, the mode is used to clean the filter sand, which significantly increases pump efficiency and water transparency
• Rinsing – after backwashing, water is discharged into the sewage system
• Drain – used to drain water from the pool, facilitates quick emptying of the pool
• Circulating – water flows through the pump without filtration stage and flows back into the pool, useful when the filter is broken or when impurities have accumulated on the filter meshes

Note: It is not recommended to leave the valve lever in the position between modes due to the possibility of leakage from the pump.

Clear pressure gauge

The built-in accurate and clear pressure gauge makes it easy to read the parameters and control the pressure in the pump. This element plays a key role in the proper operation of the filter, it is used to measure the pressure that keeps water in constant motion during filtration. Incorrect pressure will have a negative impact on the water quality in the pool. Too high pressure can cause sand to leak into the pool water, too low in turn causes the water to become cloudy, this happens when the sand is excessively contaminated, then it should be rinsed or when clogged filters caused blockages preventing the free flow of water. In this case, it usually helps to check and clean the filters, inlet and outlet hoses, and the mesh that catches larger contaminants.

The pressure gauge has 3 working zones marked: green, yellow and red. It is recommended to maintain the pump operating pressure level in the green zone, the yellow zone means that the sand needs to be rinsed, the pressure gauge hand in the red field indicates the critical zone, which can lead to damage to the device.

Anti-corrosion tank

The sand container, like the entire pump, is made of plastic, resistant to rust and chemicals used for treating and purifying pool water.

It is recommended to use a maximum of 8kg of media. This can be quartz or glass sand. Filter balls also work well. Inside the tank, there is a tube indicating the minimum and maximum fill level, which makes adding sand much easier.
