L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is an organic chemical compound necessary for clarifying iron, red or brown water in swimming pools. The product should be used when the water immediately after pouring into the pool is brown or when after chlorine disinfection the water turns brown. STAPAR Vitamin C reduces iron ions that are responsible for the brown color of the pool water. This allows you to naturally, without the use of chemical preparations, lower the PH of water, inhibiting the growth of algae to continue to enjoy clear and transparent water in the pool. Added to the pool, it will quickly improve the quality of water without having to replace it. A relatively small amount is enough to get great results and enjoy the crystalline, azure shade of water in the tank again.

Application of L-ascorbic acid in pool water clarification:

• It has a strong antioxidant effect on iron contained in water
• Reduces iron compounds in water: L-ascorbic acid is a strong reducer, i.e. it is oxidized under the influence of iron salt III most often in the form of FeCl3 to a more absorbable form, i.e. to Fe2+. Then dehydroxy ascorbic acid is formed, i.e. a colorless solution, so the water does not turn brown.
• This changes its value and transforms it from green, yellow or brown water to transparent and clear water
• It is a natural antioxidant harmless to humans
• Lowers the pH of water reducing further algae growth

How to use/dose when clarifying pool water:

With filtration enabled, pour 50 ml per 1 m3 of pool water directly into the pool. The effectiveness of the product largely depends on the content of iron compounds in the water and, if necessary, the action should be repeated after a few days to achieve the effect of crystal clear water. The use of the preparation gives positive effects also in the case of heavily ironed water.
