The iRobot Roomba Combo is powered by a battery. With proper maintenance, the battery will handle hundreds of cleaning cycles. Before using the new battery for the first time, the Roomba robot should be charged for about 12 hours. After each completed cleaning cycle, the battery should be charged, putting this away for several days can damage the battery. Remember that the Roomba robot should be connected to electricity when it is not in use. If you do not have a docking station, connect the Roomba robot to the charger at rest.
If the Roomba Combo robot is not used for more than a few weeks, store it in a dry and cool place. The battery should be fully charged at least once every six months for optimal performance.
