REMEDIANT is a product that allows you to restore the natural biological balance in lakes, ponds, ponds and ponds in our gardens. Thanks to the use of specially selected microorganisms, REMEDIANT effectively reduces the amount of biogenic substances dissolved in water, prevents the growth of algae and cyanobacteria and reduces the amount of sediment on the bottom.

REMEDIANT not only restores the natural biological balance in water bodies, but also increases the fish population and improves their health.

Bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas, which contains the preparation, provide effective phosphate management in water, balancing the level of soluble and insoluble phosphorus in the tank and limiting the level of dissolved phosphates that contribute to eutrophication. Bacteria of different types carry out denitrification, i.e. reduction of nitrogen dissolved in water, both under aerobic and anaerobic conditions.

It is also worth emphasizing that REMEDIANT has been certified by the Department of Environmental Toxicology of the National Institute of Public Health - National Institute of Hygiene, confirming the safety of the product for people and the environment. REMEDIANT is completely safe for plants, animals and the environment around water bodies.

The preparation consists of 19 strains of bacteria

It is composed of psychrophilic and psychrotrophic bacteria completely non-pathogenic to humans and animals. Thanks to the properly selected composition of microorganisms, the content of biogenic compounds dissolved in water is reduced, the growth of algae and cyanobacteria is reduced and organic bottom sediments are reduced. The preparation can be used to clean all water reservoirs: ponds, ponds or lakes.

REMEDIANT limits the processes of eutrophication of water reservoirs caused by excessive amounts of biogenic compounds dissolved in water. Remediant containing bacteria with different modes of action effectively reduces the amount of biogenic compounds in water, reduces the effects of eutrophication, increases water transparency and reduces bottom sediments.

What are the main causes of pollution in water bodies?

The eutrophication of water bodies is caused by an excessive amount of biogenic compounds dissolved in water. The biogenic compounds responsible for the "blooming" of water are primarily nitrogen and phosphorus compounds.

The effect of eutrophication is excessive growth of algae and cyanobacteria, reduction of transparency, unpleasant smell of water and limitation of oxygen in water, as well as disease and dreaming of fish.

How to take care of water tanks?

Natural microorganisms contained in REMEDIANT help restore the good condition of the water reservoir. They reduce the amount of nitrogen and phosphorus in water, are responsible for mineralization and reduction of bottom sediments, and at the same time support the health of fish and other living organisms.

The following image shows the effect of using Remediant in a water pond. After about a month, the water in the pond became clearer and the bottom was demurred by filter bacteria.

The product works in the following stages:

1. Adaptation of microorganisms to the environment.
2. Limiting growth and reduction of algae in the water.
3. Denitrification of nitrogen dissolved in the water and conversion of soluble phosphorus into insoluble phosphorus.
4. Activity of cellulolytic and lignolytic bacteria in bottom sediments.
5. Activity of proteolytic and lipolytic bacteria.
6. Activity of ammonifying and nitrifying bacteria.
7. Activity of denitrifying bacteria.

Dosage

• 10 g/m2 water mirror (1 kg/100 m2 water mirror)

Method of use

Spread the measured amount of the preparation evenly over the surface of the water mirror. The preparation is used when the water temperature reaches at least 7-8 °C. In practice, the first treatments are performed in spring (April-May), and the last in autumn (September-October).

The number of applications depends on the size, degree of contamination of the tank, weather conditions. During the year we make from one to 6-7 applications. In order to achieve long-term results, it is recommended to use for several consecutive seasons.

We recommend turning off the UV lamp for 48 hours to give the bacteria contained in the preparation a chance to colonize the biological material in the filter and in the substrate.

Where is REMEDIANT used?

In 2017, the Directorate of the Warsaw Zoo asked the company BIO-GEN to take care of water reservoirs at animal enclosures, consisting in conducting cyclical reclamation procedures in water reservoirs. Already a few days after the application with REMEDIANT, the transparency of water has significantly improved, and the amount of algae in the water tone has clearly decreased.

However, since 2015, this preparation has also been used in ponds that lie in the Royal Łazienki Park in Warsaw.
