JAVEL AQUA shock self-soluble chlorine tablets are designed to disinfect drinking water from wells and water reservoirs. As a product with very high biocidal efficiency, they eliminate microorganisms contained in water, causing gastrointestinal disorders.

Disinfection of drinking water in a well with chlorinated tablets is the cheapest and most common method of disinfecting drinking water of a well and other tanks. This method is used both by private individuals to sanitize their own water intakes, as well as water supply plants.

Disinfection of drinking water in the well should be carried out at the moment when:

• water is cloudy
• The taste of water has changed
• water is characterized by an unpleasant smell
• after flooding or flooding of the area where the well is located
• no one has used the well for a long period
• Food poisoning has occurred in users
• after digging a well - before putting it into use
• after well repairs, e.g. after putting on the pump or repairing it

Application: Before the decontamination procedure, measure the water level in the well to determine the appropriate amount of disinfectant.

Disinfection is carried out as follows:

1. Choose dirty water from the well, clean the bottom of the well (pour clean sand or gravel).
2. Disinfect the water draw devices (solution 1% - 2 tablets per 0,5L of water).
3. Refill the concrete cavities, wait for the water to fill the well again to a constant level.
4. Pour the preparation according to the dose given below, mix and leave for approx. 24 hours, wait until the water loses the chlorine smell (you can choose water or add citric acid, which effectively eliminates the chlorine smell), report the water sample for testing.

Precautions should be taken when carrying out disinfection - use gloves, protect the eyes and protect the disinfection area and the means used for it from access by children.

Dosage:

• Normal conditions (prophylaxis): 1 tablet dissolved in approx. 600L of water (2 ppm in 1L).
• Extreme conditions (e.g. flood): dissolve 2-3 tablets in approx. 300L water (4-6 ppm in 1L).

Note: Disinfection of drinking water does not remove chemical impurities contained in water. Water from untested sources should always be treated as microbiologically contaminated.

❗ ❗ After disinfecting the water in the well / tank with AQUA shock tablets, we recommend contacting the local branch of the State Sanitary Inspection (SANEPID) to conduct a water test and confirm its suitability for consumption.
