The CAM CI+ ECP module introduces a new, improved generation of Ultra HD content protection required more and more widely by content providers. This means that the reception of programs protected by the ECP standard will be possible only on devices supporting this standard. This applies to both the module and the TV. The CAM CI+ ECP module offered by CANAL+ complies with this standard. If your TV does not support the ECP standard, some channels or programs may be blocked due to insufficient content security.

ECP-supported TVs:

The TV may not support:

• automatic downloading and updating of our list of channels,
• parental control of adult channels in our standard,
• additional screen captions and soundtracks broadcast on our channels.

The condition for the proper operation of the module is the precise positioning of the satellite dish, enabling the reception of signal from this satellite.

To perform the antenna installation should be used:

• satellite antenna with a diameter of not less than 70 cm (recommended diameter is at least 80 cm);
• Full Band converter;
• good quality satellite antenna cable with an impedance of 75 Ω (Ohm);
• stable antenna holder;
• “F” plugs (special attention should be paid to the correct protection against moisture of the cable connection with the converter).

Decoding card

• The set-top box cooperates with the card issued in the set, on which information about reception permissions to selected channels is saved.
• Reception of television programs, also unencoded, is possible after placing the card in the decoder reader.
• The permissions are updated monthly.
• In order to ensure continuity of reception, do not remove the card from the decoder or turn it off from the power supply.
