What are Neodymium Magnets?

These magnets, made of neodymium, iron and boron (Nd2Fe14B), are formed by pressing powdered components at elevated temperatures. Thanks to this, they create a very strong magnetic field, which translates into a huge attraction force. The Curie temperature of magnets ranges from 310 to 330°C.

Neodymium magnets have an extremely strong magnetic field. They can damage magnetic media such as payment cards, hard drives, mobile phones, TVs, DVD players, VCRs and car keys with an immobilizer. We recommend caution when contacting them.

Lifting capacity and ferromagnetism

Not every metal is a ferromagnetic, which affects the strength of the magnet holder. The force can range from 0 (e.g. stainless steel) up to maximum (low carbon steel S355 J2G3). Lifting capacity may vary depending on the thickness and shape of the items.
