Fiskars started its production in 1649. Today it is one of the oldest European factories. The development of new steel processing methods has increased the production efficiency of Fiskars and expanded the product range. The first metal spring factory in Finland was established. In 1967, when the first basic models were to be produced, the operator decided to use the orange color that he had in the machine. Thanks to this, prototypes were made in four different colors, but orange and black turned out to be the most popular. The company held an internal vote, as a result of which the color orange gained the greatest recognition. In this way, Fiskars scissors with orange handles were born. Fiskars Orange® was registered as an official trademark in Finland in 2003 and in the USA in 2007. Fiskars tools have won, among others, Red Dot, Good Design, Green Design awards in the category of popular mechanics and distinctions for ease of use. Today, the production is extended by various types of knives. Everyone will find something for themselves. The products are made of the highest quality materials with great care.
