Why is it worth replacing an ordinary cartridge filter with filter balls?

1. Higher filtration efficiency = cleaner and clearer water – thanks to their high absorption capacity, they can catch impurities from water up to 1 mycorona in size.

1. How do I know if this kit will fit my pump?

➡ The set fits Bestway pumps using a type II cartridge filter with the following dimensions:

• Height: approx. 13,6 cm
• Diameter: approx. 10,6 cm

This includes the Bestway 58383 and 58386 pumps, most commonly used in swimming pools with a capacity of 1100 – 17 400 liters (1,1 – 17,4 m³).

2. Are these balls really enough?

Yes.

We get this question very often. It may seem that the filter chamber should be completely filled with balls. In fact, this is not the right solution.

Our kit has been prepared on the basis of tests so as to ensure a water flow similar to the operation of the pump with the original cartridge filter type I.

More balls do not improve filtration, but can:

❌ limit the flow of water,

❌ increase the load on the pump,

❌ reduce the efficiency of the entire system.

Therefore, you get exactly the amount of filter material that ensures optimal pump operation, and does not fill its chamber as much as possible.

More balls do not improve filtration efficiency. On the contrary, it can limit the flow of water through the pump.

The limited flow means that less water flows through the filter during the day, which can deteriorate the cleaning efficiency of the entire pool and make it difficult to maintain crystal clear water.

Therefore, the number of balls has been selected to provide the best compromise between filtration efficiency and pump efficiency.
