Water stones are great sharpeners for any type of blade. You can easily sharpen it with all kinds of knives, cleavers, machetes, razors, pocket knives or scissors. Regardless of the level of experience, sharpening is fast and, above all, effective.

The stones are made of the highest quality corundum and have a gradation in the range of 400/1000 and 3000/8000.

Water stone 400/1000 is used to repair the blade and pre-sharpen what we will do with the page with the gradation value 400. The side with greater gradation is already used for smoothing the cutting edge and is suitable for daily sharpening of knives. After pre-sharpening, you can successfully go to whetstone 3000/8000 where the blade can be precisely finished and polished at your discretion.

In addition to stones, the set has an aesthetic bamboo stand, a leather strap for cleaning the blade, a white repair stone and a leather strap for deburring and honing the blade. Each of the whetstones has non-slip rubber pads.

How to use:

1. Put the stone in water for 10 - 15 minutes, and if necessary, lubricate it with additional water.

2. Before starting sharpening, we recommend applying protective gloves, put a bamboo stand on a table or flat surface. Always start sharpening from stones with less granularity (400 → 1000; 3000 → 8000) starting from 400 or 1000 (depending on blade wear). Higher grit stones are used to polish and smooth the edges giving the blades shine and maximum sharpness.

3. Then arrange the angle guide on the knife. It is recommended to sharpen at an angle of 10-20°.

4. Sharpen with a reciprocating motion from each other, moving the entire length of the blade through the whetstone 4-5 times, then the other side of the blade with a movement to each other also 4-5 times.

5. Repeat step 4 until you get the desired effect, for more precise sharpening, change the gradations to higher, keep the stone soaked.

5. After receiving the expected sharpness of the blade, use the strip to remove particles of material from the knife.
