Food Dehydrator – What is its operation?

Under the term dehydrator hides a dryer for fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, herbs and meat. It is a device that removes water from selected products, which significantly extends their durability. The process involves creating natural conditions during which water evaporates, but dried products do not lose valuable nutrients: vitamins and minerals. Moreover, using a dehydrator emphasizes their sweet or salty taste.

Using the control panel with LCD display located on the front of the machine, you can set the temperature range and dryer operating time that you want to adjust to the product. Vegetables, hard and soft fruits, herbs or meat have a different water content in them, so they require different settings. The longest to process soft fruits (up to 18 hours maintaining 60°C), the fastest to remove herbs and even flowers (3 hours at 35°C).

The model we propose is compact in construction, has a rectangular shape and small size, which will facilitate its storage. Inside there are as many as five trays, which makes it easier to dry more products with even air circulation. Trays are made of polypropylene, one is 2,5 cm high, which also allows you to lay thicker slices of fruit, vegetables or meat on it, and the drying area is 2310 cm2.

The dehydrator is equipped with a timer, thanks to which you can set its working time in the range from 1 to 70 hours. The temperature range ranges from 35 to 70°C, so you can dry any food product in it. It is a device thanks to which we can produce healthy chips from fruits and vegetables, our own Vegeta or dry meat, fish or even pasta at home.
