During aspirations, keep the baby’s head straight (vertical) and insert the tip into one of the baby’s nostrils. Be careful not to push the tip too deep into the nostril or not to press against the back wall of the nasal cavity.

Try to keep the aspirator in such a position that the tip is perpendicular to the surface of the child's face. Do not point the tip up, deep into the child's nostril. Wait for the aspirator to pull in the secretion. If necessary, repeat the action in the second nostril or carry out again.
