The BACscan F-40 breathalyzer is a combination of elegant design and modern measurement technology based on an electrochemical cell. It is a leader in the class of electrochemical breathalyzers not only due to the extraordinary attention to detail emphasizing the quality of workmanship, but above all high accuracy and repeatability of measurements confirmed by an independent laboratory accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA).

The results are displayed in digital form in the range from 0.00 to 4.00, with a resolution of up to two decimal places.

The BACscan F-40 breathalyzer has a built-in air flow sensor, a system to protect the measuring cell from damage as a result of an improperly conducted test, a counter of the number of measurements made and a function reminding about the need for calibration. In addition, the device uses a modern system of controlling the correct operation of the analyzer before and after each measurement.

To minimize the measurement error and maximize the life of the sensor, the tester has been equipped with a temperature control module. It prevents the measurement in the event that the operating temperature range of the tester is exceeded, which could result in damage to the components.

An undoubted advantage of this device is the ability to define measurement units depending on the user's preferences: , mg/L, % BAC, g/L (the ability to change the measurement unit by the service, factory setting: promile).
