Bemi Cognita Tab 5 is a lightweight and handy text reading solution for those who value simple operation without sacrificing the advanced features of a book reader!

At the heart of the Cognity Tab 5 is the processor with 4 cores (Quad-core) Cortex-A7 along with 1GB RAM.

The reader has a 5.76” screen with a built-in touch panel and backlight. It impresses with practicality thanks to additional page change keys, ease of touch operation, lightness and versatility.

The Cognita Tab 5 is available in two colors: grey-white and black-grey.

Internal memory 16GB will accommodate a whole lot of books - forget about the suitcases weighted with them.

If you need more space, the Cognita Tab 5 also has a microSD card reader with support for cards with a capacity of up to 64GB.

The 3.5mm headphone output is the perfect partner if you want to listen to audiobooks or music.

The built-in Wi-Fi module facilitates connection to the Internet and allows file transfer without the use of a cable.

Thanks to open Android version 8.1, you can upload other apps for reading books, listening to audiobooks or news channels.

The Cognita Tab 5 is handy thanks to its small dimensions, only 8 mm thick and must weight, only 135g. You can always have it with you. On a long or close journey, during a break from school or work, as well as on a comfortable home couch - it will work in all circumstances.

Cognita Tab 5 is equipped with a 5.76" monochrome screen in e-paper technology, which imitates the effect of traditional printing on paper. The screen has a resolution of 920x680 pikeli and high contrast at 198 ppi, thanks to which it provides comfortable reading without eye strain. The text is clear and easy to read.

Cognita Tab 5 is ideal for reading text, however, it is worse suited for displaying photos and graphics because it displays 4 shades of gray.

Touch panel with anti-reflective coating / Page change keys

The Cognity Tab 5 flat touch panel is covered with a special anti-reflective coating, thanks to which you can read books even in full sun. Touch screen provides intuitive, easy operation of the device.

The ideal addition are practical page change keys.

Upload files

With options for transferring files over Wi-Fi or USB cable, the Cognita Tab 5 allows you to quickly and easily import your favorite books, documents, and media files. Simply connect to your computer or use a Wi-Fi connection for seamless syncing.

Formats of books

Cognita Tab 5 supports most available e-book formats such as PDF (Reflow), epub, MOBI (mobipocket), FB2, FB2.ZIP, AZW, AZW3, CHM, PRC, DOC, DOCX, TXT, HTM, HTML, RTF.

In addition, the reader plays audio files in the following formats: mp3, OGG, FLAC, WAV, AAC, M4A.

PDF Reflow

Cognita Tab 5 supports a very useful Reflow function for PDF files. Reflow is a flow, i.e. breaking the content of a PDF file so that it is read as text as in a file, e.g. epub or fb2. The text automatically adjusts to the size of the page and thus the reading is pleasant and comfortable. The text can be further enlarged, which is impossible when reading the original PDF file.

TTS – text-to-speech conversion

TTS – ang. “text to speech”, or “text to speech” – is a speech synthesizer or function that allows you to convert written text into sound. With this feature, Cognita Tab 5 allows you to turn your book into an audiobook.

This feature is especially useful for people who like to listen to audiobooks, want to deepen their knowledge, language skills, or want to perform multiple tasks at once while enjoying their books.

Cognita Tab 5 supports speech synthesizer in 10 languages: Polish, English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Dictionary/Translator

Cognita Tab 5 has built-in dictionary functions (stardict format) and a translator with many languages to choose from. The translator supports the translation of single words as well as entire paragraphs or pages.

The device also allows you to check the word in Wikipedia.

Library of Books

Cognita Tab 5 allows you to display your library as tiles with book covers or a list of files, both in internal memory and on a memory card if it was placed in a reader.

In addition to the name of the book/file, we can preview the file format (list) and the % of the book read.

The library can be viewed by category: All Books, Recently Read, Recently Added, Read and Unread.

Additionally, you can sort the library, perform package actions, create a new folder, search for a book, or refresh the library directly from the home screen.

Functions when reading

Cognita Tab 5 has an extensive list of available functions and settings when reading books as in advanced readers on the market.

Features such as:

Dictionary, Translator, Wikipedia, Glossary, TTS, Refresh Mode, Reading Time Reminder, Progress Format.

The following settings are available:

Select words, selected text, Add bookmark, About book, Bookmark list, Table of contents, Go to page, Search, zoom, contrast, Reflow, Font size, Font type, Line spacing, Margins, Rotate screen, Auto page change.

Not every feature is available for every file format.

Footnotes

Cognita Tab 5 conveniently supports the footnote function. If the book has one-touch footnotes on the footnote, you can go to the footnote text.

Battery life

Bemi Cognita Tab 5 has a built-in 1700mAh battery. Once the battery is fully charged, the device can run for up to 2 weeks*.

*In the following conditions: half an hour of reading per day, 30 seconds of average page change time, backlight set to the lowest level, wifi off, set the shortest sleep time and automatic shutdown.
