The model has an E Ink Kaleido 3 screen with adjustable backlight and dual touch control: capacitive and Metal Mesh. The reader is based on a powerful 8-core processor and 4 GB of RAM and is characterized by high speed. ONYX BOOX Go Color 7 (Gen II) runs on the Android 13 operating system and allows you to install and use third-party applications. The built-in dual-band Wi-Fi module allows you to access the Internet and use various network services, while Bluetooth 5.1 support allows you to connect external devices. The model has 64 GB of built-in memory and a microSD card slot, so you can store a large number of books and other files directly on the device. Using the audio player program, you can listen to audiobooks and music files, and the Text-To-Speech feature allows you to read text files aloud. The reader is made in a slim, compact housing with practical buttons for paging on the side panel and has ONYX Glass protective glass. The built-in G-sensor automatically selects the correct text orientation when rotating the device. With this option, you can change the orientation of the e-book reader and the image will be automatically restructured. The page-turn buttons on the right side of the device also change their functions depending on the orientation of the screen.

Dual sensor control

ONYX BOOX Go Color 7 (Gen II) has two touch layers. Above the screen surface is a capacitive multitouch sensor, allowing you to browse through books and resize documents with intuitive finger movements. In addition, under the E Ink panel there is a Metal mesh touch layer, which supports work with an active stylus. With its help, you can take notes and draw. The active stylus for the reader can be purchased separately.

Additional screen protection

The ONYX Glass protective glass used on the E Ink screen protects it from scratches and other damage. The use of such glass allowed to abandon the additional edges of the screen, thanks to which the screen is in one plane with the body of the device. This makes working with this e-book reader more convenient and its appearance more modern. In addition, a special coating reduces the likelihood of glare on the screen.

What is ONYX Glass?

ONYX Glass is a completely new generation of protective glasses from the ONYX brand. Aluminum-silicon glass has increased transparency and ensures no distortion of the original image. Glass is applied to the front light layer without air gap during the production of the display module. Instead of applying a matte layer that can reduce contrast, 5% etching is used. It provides improved protection against glare and does not hinder the passage of light.
