What is in the filter composition?

1 Activated carbon

2 Ion-exchange resin

Responsible mainly for softening of water. It captures calcium and magnesium ions from the water and converts them into sodium ions. Hard water with excess calcium and magnesium when heated forms a boiler stone that settles on the internal elements of the machine, destroying them.
