ANALOG COMPACT CAMERA LOMOGRAPHY FISHEYE NO. 2 35MM – SILVER-BLACK (SILVER/BLACK)
Do you want to enter the world of uncompromising, analogue creativity and create images with an uncountable atmosphere? Meet the Lomography Fisheye No. 2 – the second, improved generation of the iconic compact camera for a standard 35 mm film. Equipped with amazing glass fisheye optics with a field of view of up to 170°, it allows you to record reality in the form of a perfectly circular, exaggerated frame. The silver-black version combines retro styling with advanced creative features: from the built-in flash, through multiple exposures, to Bulb mode for night shots.
170 DEGREE MAGIC: A WORLD ENCLOSED IN A BALL
Unlike classic cameras that try to map straight lines of a rectangular frame, Fisheye No. 2 drastically bends the perspective. The closer to the edge of the lens the object is, the stronger it becomes distorted. This approach revolutionizes the end result:
• Standard wide-angle lens: Attempts to maintain geometry by stretching only the corners of the frame and masking barrel distortion.
• Fisheye 170° glass optics: Captures a powerful section of the environment and encloses it in a distinctive round frame on the print. It allows you to shoot from just a few centimeters away from the nose of a portrayed person or the windshield of a skateboard, creating an iconic lo-fi style, known from 90s music videos. and magazines about extreme sports.
ADVANTAGES AND CREATIVE ANALOG CAMERA FUNCTIONS
- Function / Feature: What do you gain in photographic practice?
- Multiple Exposure (MX) switch: A dedicated slider allows you to instantly unlock the shutter without scrolling through the video. You can layer an infinite number of layers on the same frame.
- Bulb mode (B) & N: N mode (1/100s) is ideal for the day. Bulb mode allows you to keep the shutter open for as long as you want – for light painting, car smudges and nighttime experiments.
- Built-in Flash and Hot Foot: The camera has a built-in flash (powered by one AA battery) and an additional hot foot for connecting external flashes or transmitters.
- Fisheye viewfinder: The set includes a dedicated optical viewfinder mounted on the top of the camera, which accurately reproduces the field of view of the 170° lens, facilitating precise framing.
Advantages and disadvantages of construction:
• (+) Unique look: The glass lens guarantees saturated colors, strong contrast and a distinctive vignette.
• (+) Independent power supply: The camera is fully mechanical. The AA battery is only needed to power the built-in flash.
• (+) Lighting flexibility: Thanks to the built-in flash and long exposure mode, the camera is no longer limited to sunny days only.
• (-) Fixed aperture f/8: Requires conscious operation of film sensitivity (ISO) or regular use of the flash indoors.
• (-) Watch your fingers! : Due to the gigantic viewing angle (170°), it is very easy to accidentally capture the tips of your own shoes or fingers holding the case in the frame.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION AND ANALOGUE PARAMETERS:
• Movie format: Standard small image negative 35 mm / type 135 (colour, black and white, slide).
• Focal lens: 10 mm (real fish eye, glass optics).
• Lens angle: Up to 170 degrees.
• Permanent aperture: f/8 (provides great depth of field throughout the frame).
• Focus setting: Fixed focus (Focus-Free) – sharp from about 10 cm to infinity.
• Illumination times: Fixed 1/100 s (N) and manual mode B (Bulb).
• Built-in lamp: Yes, powered by 1x AA battery (battery not included).
• Communication with flash: Additional hot shoe (Hot-Shoe) for external lamps.
Hint on operation: For the most spectacular effect of background compression and caricatured magnification, approach the subject extremely closely. The Fisheye glass lens sharpens perfectly from a distance of several centimeters!
Due to the constant shutter speed (1/100 s) and f/8 aperture, the appropriate selection of a color small-picture film determines the success of exposure. Click on the name of the video to check availability in our offer:
• ISO 400 (Universal color base): The most recommended sensitivity for this camera. It provides optimal illumination of frames in variable weather, light cloudiness and in the shade. It also allows the built-in lamp to more effectively illuminate further plans during evening sessions.
Recommended color negatives 135: Lomography Color Negative 400 (135), Kodak UltraMax 400 (135).
• ISO 100 / ISO 200 (For full sun and summer days): The best choice for cloudless skies, open urban spaces, beach or summer festivals. These films guarantee fine grain, incredible sharpness and very high saturation and contrast of colors inside the round frame.
Recommended color negatives 135: Kodak Gold 200 (135), Kodak ColorPlus 200 (135), Kodak Ektar 100 (135).
• ISO 800 (For parties, concerts and club madness): Mandatory sensitivity if you plan to take your camera to night outings or concerts. Combined with flash, it perfectly freezes dynamic movement in the foreground, leaving no background completely black.
Recommended color negatives 135: Kodak Portra 800 (135), Lomography Color Negative 800 (135).
