NIKON Z6 II
Nikon Z 6II is the next generation of a full-frame mirrorless camera, which uses many innovative solutions and which will work in any situation. Whether you're a photographer recording videos, a filmmaker taking photos, or a creator combining different techniques. Whether you're shooting fast-paced action or recording 4K movies of cinematic quality or a spontaneous interview, this camera will help you achieve any goal.
In the new version of Nikon Z 6, a second image processing processor has been added, thanks to which the camera is even faster in every aspect of work, both when taking continuous shooting, focusing and filming. The new model also adds two slots for XQD or CF EXPRESS and SD memory cards.
Compact body (smaller and lighter than SLR) made of magnesium alloy, has an ergonomic handle, is sealed and resistant to dust and splashes. Simple and intuitive operation of the camera known from Nikon SLR cameras will not be difficult even for novice photography and filming enthusiasts. A great facilitation in work is the OLED viewfinder with an impressive resolution of 3,69 million points and a tilting, touch LCD display with a diagonal of 3,2 and a resolution of 2,1 million points.
The camera has a full-frame CMOS sensor with a resolution of 24,5 Mpix, characterized by extraordinary detail reproduction, a very wide ISO 100-51200 sensitivity range (expandable to ISO 50-204800) allowing you to work in extreme lighting conditions and a 273-point AF system that allows precise focusing even in very low light (even up to -6EV). It is equipped with 5-axis optical image stabilization, which effectively reduces vibrations during shooting and filming (also using lenses without built-in VR stabilization function).
Nikon Z 6II is perfect as a reporter camera taking serial shots at 14kl. /s. It also has a noiseless electronic shutter and the minimum exposure time is 1/8000s.
This versatile Nikon full-frame mirrorless camera allows you to capture movies with excellent tonal span in resolutions: 4K 30kl. /s (60cl. /s after firmware update), Full HD 120kl. /s. The flat profile of the Nikon N-Log image allows for advanced work and professional quality in post-production.
The use of a new bayonet with a much larger diameter than in the classic Nikon F mount made it possible to construct new lenses characterized by greater brightness and better optical properties. In addition to the new system optics with extraordinary optical parameters and functionality, users of the new Nikon mirrorless camera have the opportunity to use a wide range of excellent Nikkor lenses with the F bayonet thanks to the FTZ adapter.
Unusual speed of shooting
The ultra-wide hybrid AF system enables perfect focusing. You can shoot at full resolution with full autofocus and exposure automation at speeds up to 14 fps. S. When speed matters and it always matters, you’ll capture moments that may elude others.
Ready for a night session
The camera matrix makes full use of the large amount of light recessed by the large diameter mount, so you can freely create regardless of lighting conditions. Throughout the ultra-wide ISO range, you’ll get excellent image quality, both when taking full-frame photos and recording videos.
Twice the computing power
Whatever you want to use the light for, do it faster and smoother. The two EXPEED processors provide twice the processing power, enabling all functions to run quickly, from autofocus to high-capacity buffer support. The camera runs smoothly, both during filming and shooting.
Higher speed – for a longer time
With a faster high-capacity buffer, you can take up to 200 JPEG photos or 124 photos in 12-bit RAW format without compression in a single series. The high refresh rate means you won't miss a second, while the two EXPEED processors provide incredible write speeds.
Efficient and precise AF system
The phase-detection AF system used in this mirrorless camera perfectly copes with extremely difficult lighting conditions throughout the frame area. Extremely fast and precise AF is effective in very low light (up to -6EV) and has the function of facial recognition and intelligent tracking of moving objects. The system uses 273 measuring fields and covers 90% of the field of view providing very fast autofocus for photos, as well as smooth focus tracking when recording videos.
Taking portraits of your favorite pet has never been so easy. The AF function with animal detection automatically recognizes the eyes of cats and dogs and focuses on them, so you can easily focus on the composition and capture the right moments!
In Nikon Z 6II we have the following focusing modes: single (AF-S), continuous (AF-C), continuous operating in film mode (AF-F) and manual (M).
AF with face and eye detection
The AF function with eye detection automatically recognizes human eyes and focuses on them. If the eyes of many people are detected, you can use a multifunction selector or an additional selector and choose the eye to which you want to focus. This can also be done by looking through the electronic viewfinder.
Precise AF throughout the frame
The AF system used in this model allows for manual or automatic selection of one of 273 measuring fields covering 90% of the field of view. Intelligent recognition and tracking system for moving objects works reliably even in extremely difficult lighting conditions at -6EV.

Image Stabilization
The built-in five-axis vibration reduction feature allows you to shoot with shutter speeds up to five degrees longer. This allows you to capture sharper photos in dimming daylight and videos without the unwanted effects of camera shake.
Sport mode guarantees greater image stability in the viewfinder when shooting extremely dynamic scenes, as well as during panning. When recording films, the five-axis optical vibration reduction system works with the electronic vibration reduction system to ensure extremely stable shots.
Two memory card slots for smooth operation
With two memory card slots, you can adapt to any mode of work organization. Separately save photos and videos or files in RAW and JPEG formats. The second card can also be used to immediately save a backup copy of the file. Depending on the configuration, the second slot can be used in case of overflow of the first card or for backup. In one slot you can use UHS-II SD cards, and in the other XQD cards or the latest ultra-fast CFexpress cards.
Ergonomic and durable design
Explore the dusty streets. Boldly wander the mountain paths. Photograph close to water. Thanks to its highly durable, lightweight magnesium cast frame, the Z 6II is very handy and sturdy enough to be used anywhere. Due to the protection against dust, dirt and moisture, you can always have it with you wherever inspiration takes you.
Filming
If you are a filmmaker, then this Nikon is just for you. The full-frame camera sensor and full pixel reading provide a wider dynamic range and allow you to record videos with sharper and more expressive images. With 6II, you can capture movies in 4K 30kl resolution. /s or 60kl. /s (after firmware update), and Full HD 120kl. /s.
When filming, you can set autofocus speed and focus tracking sensitivity, as well as use AF with eye detection and AF with animal detection. Your capabilities are further expanded by the flexibly adjustable frame rate. In addition, you can play the recorded materials in any way you like.
RAW data directly on HDMI output
The highest level of freedom during post-production. Faster data transfer. The Z 6II can be connected to a compatible external ATOMOS recorder to export videos in ProRes RAW® format, which preserves all data from the full-frame camera matrix in smaller files.
10-bit HDMI output
Get more freedom when coloring. With 10-bit video recording, you can capture over a billion shades more than 8-bit video. The Z 6II allows you to transfer 10-bit video data directly to an external recorder connected to the HDMI output.
Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG)
By recording video ready for immediate playback on HDR displays, time-consuming color processing can be avoided. The HLG format available on the camera retains more detail, dynamic range and contrast – no post-processing is required.
Live broadcast
The camera enables professional quality striming with free Webcam Utility software. Simply connect the Z 6II to your computer using a USB-C cable, allowing you to capture video signals and power your camera at the same time. So you can conduct live broadcast without time constraints or additional equipment.
Work without unnecessary interruptions
If you work in the field, you can power the camera without interrupting registration using a USB Type-C cable, and even charge the battery while shooting or filming by connecting it to a powerbank. This camera is sure to keep up with you even during long outdoor sessions.
Remote Photography
Using the optional wireless remote control – the WR-R11b relay and the WR-1 wireless remote control, you can remotely shoot or control external flashes such as the SB-5000.
Fast triggering of flashes
You can use external flashes even when taking high-speed continuous shooting at speeds up to 14 fps. /s. Gain greater depth and multidimensionality – illuminating the entire frame at any time.
The constantly developing SnapBridge application from Nikon now allows you to update the camera firmware via your smart device. The application can also be used for remote shooting and filming. In addition, it allows you to filter and transfer JPEG and RAW files to any smart device or computer: directly in the application you can add hashtags and copyright information.

The optional MB-N11 multifunction power holder is equipped with controls for easy shooting in vertical frames. In addition, it allows you to replace batteries during the operation of the camera.
Lenses with F mount
The FTZ mount adapter ensures compatibility with more than 300 NIKKOR F-mount lenses. From bright fixed-focal lenses to super-telephoto zoom lenses.
Other Nikon Z 6II features
Focus Stacking
Thanks to this function, Nikon Z 6II allows you to take photos with a shifted focus plane. It allows you to get more depth of field than it results from the optical capabilities of the lens or choose the optimal balance between sharpness and blur, after taking the photo. The distance of the set focus can be adjusted on a 10-degree scale. The number of photos is set from 1 to 300. In addition, we can choose whether subsequent photographs will be taken immediately after each other or at specific intervals. Photos are saved on the card separately and we can put them together in one in post-production.
HDR mode
In HDR mode, the camera takes several photos of the same shot with different exposure parameters, then we combine the frames into one, choosing from each of them the part of the image that has been best exposed. In this way, we receive a properly exposed photograph with all its elements clearly visible. Nikon Z 6II in this mode takes three photos, and the difference in exposure between them can be from 1 to 3 EV. We also have smoothing options: reduced, normal and increased.
D-Lightning mode
This mode consists of a programmatic extension of tonal dynamics, which can be set in the following modes: Automatic, Very High, Increased, Normal, Reduced and Off.
Autobracketing
The exposure bracketing function allows you to take a series of up to 9 photos, each of which can be automatically compensated in the range from -3 to +3 EV in steps from 1/3 to 3 EV. In addition to this feature, the camera also has flash power, white balance and ADL modes.
Multiple exposures
This mode in the Nikon Z 6II allows you to take two to ten exposures in NEF (RAW) format as one photo. By taking more photos, we can view the created image on an ongoing basis. Photographing using live preview, on the screen we can see the effect of the resulting image in the form of a translucent overlay on the current frame. In this mode, we also have the ability to preserve the originals of all photos taken.
Interval photos
In Nikon Z 6II we have a function that allows you to automatically take time-lapse photos. The options available for this feature include setting the shooting start time, interval time, number of intervals, and number of photos per interval.
Flicker-free shooting
Nikon Z 6II has a function that improves shooting in lighting, the flickering of which can cause problems with the correct exposure of the photo, when using short exposure times. This applies, for example, to lights that emit fluorescent lamps, and this is especially helpful when taking continuous shooting. With this type of lighting, subsequent photos may differ in the level of exposure, as well as in color. The flicker detection feature ensures that the shutter is triggered at the optimal time to ensure even exposure of subsequent photos.
Cleaning the matrix
The Nikon Z 6II uses an automatic matrix cleaning system, operating on the principle of matrix vibration. This function can be started at any time in the menu or set to clean every time the camera is turned on or off. It is also possible to manually remove dust from the matrix.
