This E-mount lens is powered by Sony most advanced technology. It delivers the G Master series' signature resolution and bokeh, along with exceptional AF speed and accuracy. For a 35mm lens with a large aperture, it has surprisingly small dimensions. It will be perfect where quality and convenience count.

Two XA (extreme aspherical) lenses and a short distance between the rear of the lens and the image sensor combine extraordinary contrast and resolution with small dimensions. The high quality of the lens optics is also due to the ED (extra-low dispersion) glass element, which reduces chromatic aberration, and the Sony Nano AR II coating, which maintains image clarity in all lighting conditions.

The FE 35 mm F1.4 GM lens is equipped with two precision XA (extreme aspherical) lenses and is characterized by exceptional quality, characteristic of all G Master products. It is very handy: it fits on the palm of your hand and weighs only 524 g, so you can use it for a variety of applications and conditions.

XA lenses counteract the “layered” bokeh effect, the 11-leaf aperture is almost perfectly round with wide opening, and careful compensation of spherical aberration in design and production ensures a great bokeh effect at F1.4. Thanks to improvements in the design and production process, the minimum distance from the object is 27 cm, and the maximum magnification is 0,23×.

Two XD (extreme dynamic) linear motors have the large torque needed for fast, accurate and quiet operation of the AF system and tracking function. State-of-the-art control algorithms, developed specifically for these motors, attenuate noise and vibration, while the Sony Linear Response MF system provides direct, linear focus changes with manual adjustment.

To make the lens comfortable and effective to use, it is equipped with, among others, a focus ring and a focus lock button. The operation of the button can be adjusted to suit your needs by selecting the function you need from the camera menu. Fluoride front lens coating and dust and moisture resistant construction guarantee reliability when working in harsh environments.
