The Lumea hair removal device uses intense pulse light technology IPL(Intense Pulsed Light). Gentle pulses of light, reach the hair bulbs. The hair follicle is weakened and then goes into a resting phase. As a consequence, the hair falls out, and thanks to regular treatments it does not grow back, leaving the skin smooth for many months. The Lumea 9900 series was developed in collaboration with dermatologists. It is effective and at the same time delicate.

The Philips Lumea IPL Series 9900 epilator uses the contrast between the pigment in the hair and the skin pigment. It works well for hair in natural dark blonde, brown and black, as well as skin with a shade from light to dark brown (I–V). The device should not be used for hair in white, gray, light blonde or red or for very dark skin.

Philips Lumea has intelligent SenseIQ technology, which thanks to the SmartSkin sensor will help you choose the right level of light intensity for your skin. Thanks to this, the treatment is comfortable and safe. Smart caps will allow you to perform the procedure even in hard-to-reach places such as armpits or bikinis. For the first 6 weeks, the procedure should be performed every two weeks. Then, in order to maintain the effects, the procedure should be repeated once a month.

The four caps included with the device perfectly fit the body shapes. They run hair removal programs that are most effective for a specific area. The powerful lamp delivers 450 000 flashes, which translates into 39 years of lamp life*.

Face hair removal cap. It has a flat shape, a small window (2 cm2) and a UV filter. It works best for hair removal of such areas of the face as: upper lip, cheeks, jaw line.

Pocket for hair removal of bikini area. It has a concave shape and a medium-sized window (3 cm2). It works very well for hair removal of delicate bikini areas. It has a curve on the outside to reach hard-to-reach places.

An underarm hair removal cap. It has a concave shape and a window with a size (3 cm2). Effectively epilates armpits. Thanks to the curvature outside, it reaches places that are more difficult to reach.
