Devialet Dione

Devialet Dione is the latest soundbar that combines elegant design and high-end surround sound. The name of the device is a reference to the mythological Greek goddess Dione – the wife of Zeus, with whose side she was originally the ruler of the world. And you can play music via solutions such as AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Spotify or UPnP protocol.

Advanced multi-channel audio system

The Dione soundbar uses 8 high-definition audio channels to create a wide soundstage rich in three-dimensional sound effects. This advanced multi-channel audio system processes 5.1.2-channel audio, works with Dolby Atmos and supports two “height channels”.

Convenient control

The soundbar can be controlled via the panel located on the device housing, an optional remote control available separately or the Devialet mobile application. The latter option offers access to numerous listening modes, functions, connectivity options and future software updates. The application provides access to a variety of soundbar settings, e.g. correction of room acoustics and night mode responsible for reducing the intensity of bass playback.

Devialet SPACE

Devialet Dione supports its proprietary SPACE technique, which fully brings out the potential of 17 transducers, providing m.in. the ability to convert any signal to a multi-channel 5.1.2-channel version. The user has four audio processing modes at his disposal, which can be started via the Devialet application. These include Movie Mode (Movie), Spatial Mode (Spatial), Music Mode (Music), and Voice Mode (Voice).

Advanced Dimensional Experience

The soundbar boasts a patented Advanced Dimensional Experience (ADE) technique that combines the right placement of drivers in the device and advanced digital filters. This translates into improved three-dimensional sound effect, optimal audio signal emission and proper sound reflections of surround channels.

Interior acoustic correction function

The designers equipped Dione with four microphones, which are used in the process of automatic acoustic correction. Its purpose is to adjust the sound of the device to the acoustic conditions of the room in which it is currently located.

After calibration tests, the soundbar tunes the output signal to the created room model, taking into account a number of factors, e.g. interior furnishings or Dione assembly site. Thanks to this, the user can count on the sound completely tailored to the place of installation.

Real-time sound correction

It is also worth paying attention to the AVL (Adaptive Volume Level) technique, which is responsible for real-time sound correction. It harmonizes the levels of the processed signal, unifying the volume of many sounds – e.g. dialogues, sound effects and music – making up the film scene.

Spherical element of ORB

The characteristic element of the Dionej model is a spherical element (ORB), which houses two passive membranes and a single electroacoustic transducer. The ORB sphere adjusts its position to the way the soundbar is installed and rotates by the appropriate angle (up to 180 degrees), they will always be facing the listener.

Freedom of installation and HDMI

You can freely place Dione on the TV cabinet or – after turning the device properly – hang it on the wall, e.g. under the TV. Depending on the setting, the soundbar adjusts the way the sound is played, which is due to the gyroscope and the latest virtualization technique. The whole is complemented by HDMI with eARC, optical audio input and Ethernet connector.

Winner of the EISA Award 2022 – 2023

The Dione model was recognized as the “Best High-end Soundbar” in the EISA 2022–2023 poll. By awarding this award, the jury appreciated the precision of workmanship, innovation of the device, as well as the “powerful and detailed sound” that we can get with its use. In the justification of the award, the jury also emphasized the presence of solutions such as “ADH amplification” and the Dione soundbar’s characteristic rotating transducer (ORB), which is responsible for the central channel.
