The HT-S2000 soundbar with Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround technologies reproduces cinematic surround sound and triggers emotions hidden in Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® soundtracks. The new system of generating additional channels will create a spatial effect when listening to each recording. To surround yourself with sounds, you only need one discrete soundbar.

Sound coming from above

The soundbar with Sony virtual surround sound technology allows you to arrange sound vertically and achieve three-dimensional sound without the use of ceiling speakers or upward-facing speakers. Combined with Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X®, Vertical Surround Engine technology delivers more realistic, multi-dimensional sound from recordings in other formats.

Spatial sound for everyone

The company’s digital sound field processing technology reconstructs a virtual, spatial sound field using only front speakers. The result is a rich, cinematic spatial effect without additional devices in the living room.

New system for generating additional channels introducing a spatial effect to stereo sound

The system developed by Sony for generating additional channels produces a three-dimensional spatial effect not only during surround sound reproduction, but also stereo sound, for example from services offering movies and music in streaming. The analysis of the work takes place in real time. Our new algorithm extracts individual sound objects based on their location and moves them, resulting in a three-dimensional spatial effect.

X-Balanced Speaker Unit

Two built-in subwoofers and front speakers are X-Balanced Speaker Unit modules with enlarged, bass-enhancing rectangular-shaped diaphragms. Despite the lower amplitude of diaphragm displacements, the sound pressure does not decrease. This means less distortion and cleaner vocals.

Built-in subwoofer and channel for deep bass

The integrated subwoofers use X-Balanced Speaker units. They allow you to increase the surface area of the diaphragm in a limited space, thanks to which a small soundbar emits strong bass. The specially shaped acoustic channel delivers the deep bass you would expect from a larger speaker — especially when listening at low volume.

Clear voice and accurate soundstage

Playing a wide range of frequencies through a single speaker module can cause distortion and consequently muffled and blurred sound. Our signal processing technology prevents such distortion and ensures clear dialogue and soundstage accuracy.

Restore the sparkle of your favorite music

The compression of the source sound removes the high-frequency components that determine the detail and richness of the sound. DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) restores them, thanks to which the sound of the songs becomes similar to the original recording.

Easy to prepare for work and operate

Our new smartphone app, Sony | Home Entertainment Connect, lets you easily select your initial settings and operate your soundbar. You can also use the included simple remote control to operate.

Perfect synchronization with other Sony products

A separately offered wireless subwoofer will enrich the sound with dynamic bass. To enhance your movie experience with sound coming from behind, add our separately offered wireless rear speakers.
