TEXT MESSAGES

Use the keyboard on the touchscreen display to send and receive longer text messages1 (maximum number of characters: 1600) directly on your device. You can also connect a compatible smartphone to the Garmin Messenger app to send and receive text messages, send emotes and reactions, or start a group chat.

PHOTO SHARING

Share photos from your adventure after pairing your device with a compatible smartphone using the Garmin Messenger app. You can also view the received photos2 on the color display of the device.

SENDING MESSAGES SAUCE

Explore with peace of mind knowing that you can send an interactive SOS message with GPS coordinates to Garmin Response — an international coordination center with round-the-clock staff for emergency assistance. Messages are sent via the Iridium satellite network with global reach, not a mobile network.
