The optimal point can be set according to each drilling requirement, which depends on the drill size and material. Worn and damaged drill bits can be completely restored to their ideal shape.

4-Aspect Point

You create a blade with 4 planes that provides ideal cutting performance because the chisel edge is a point instead of being almost flat, as in many drill bits. The tip with 4 planes does not move, and the required pressure force is significantly reduced compared to a conventional conical drill.

The precision-sharpened 4-blade tip generates less heat, making the life of the drill bit also longer. Independent tests show that the sharpened Tormek drill lasts up to 4 times longer than the brand new conventional¹ drill bit.

Controlled sharpening
