Hyaluronic acid is injected with high pressure through a very narrow opening, without the need for a needle. Mechanical energy is released by means of a spring and a special pen plunger. A thin stream of substances passes through microscopic holes into the dermis, without puncturing with a needle. The opening in the ampoule / dispenser is only 0.13 mm, which is almost three times smaller than the smallest insulin needles. The procedure is painless.
The main advantage of this device is the safety of the procedure - when using traditional needle injections, the biggest problem is the risk of introducing hyaluronic acid into the blood vessel, which leads to obstruction of the vessel lumen and ultimately to local tissue necrosis.
