We equipped the lid with a special valve that reduces the pressure generated during fermentation, but does not let air into the jar. They can be set in 3 positions - the first for putting on and taking off , the second enabling the fermentation process and the third for hermetic closing of the jar if it is necessary to move it to another place during pickling and for storage , e.g. in the fridge after pickling.

A part of the set is an instruction manual with recipes for homemade sauerkraut, pickled cucumbers, vegetables and kimchi, which is a spicy Chinese style sauerkraut, loved by many.
