HiLook surveillance systems can be controlled, configured, and operated using the intuitive HiLook App mobile application for smartphones and tablets, as well as the iVMS-4200 software for PCs. This allows users to have constant control and oversight of the monitored area from anywhere in the world with internet access. The app and software enable:

• Creation of motion detection scenarios and rules
• Control of PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras
• Receiving event notifications

The application uses P2P cloud technology, so the system does not require port forwarding on your router.

HiLook recorders by Hikvision support the motion detection function for network cameras. This feature allows for instant notifications to the user (in the app or software) when changes are detected in the camera's image. It also enables searching recordings for detected motion within the monitored area.

The advantage of the recorder is the proprietary technology Motion Detection 2.0, allowing filtering false motion detection alarms and classifying objects on video recordings (human / vehicle).

Detection mode 2.0 is available for 4 channels of the recorder.

The IP recorder is equipped with an efficient image compression standard, designated H.265. This standard is a direct successor to the popular H.264 technology and allows for almost double the bandwidth load. This translates into significant space saving on the hard disk and extending the archiving time of recordings on the disk.
