eWeLink 16A WiFi Thermostat with DS18B20 Probe

Intelligent temperature controller for automatic control of heating or cooling. The DS18B20 external probe measures temperature and the relay turns the connected device on or off according to the set thresholds.

Connection to the WiFi 2,4 GHz network and the eWeLink application allows you to check the temperature, change settings and control the thermostat from anywhere with Internet access. The driver connects directly to the router — does not require an additional gateway.

The WiFi thermostat will work, among others, when controlling the heater, heating mat, fan, cooling system, pump, heating the greenhouse, terrarium, aquarium, refrigerator or freezer – after correctly selecting the type and power of load.

Automatic temperature controller

In automatic mode, the temperature controller controls the connected device based on the value read by the DS18B20 probe:

• Heating mode — turns on the device when the temperature drops below the set level, and turns it off when the target value is reached.
• Cooling mode — starts cooling when the set level is exceeded and turns it off when the temperature is lowered to the target value.

Automatic adjustment can work according to the weekly schedule. This allows you to apply different settings depending on the day of the week and time and determine the status of the relay after the schedule.

Manual and remote control

You can control the relay with a button on the housing or from the eWeLink application. The app also allows you to share your device with other users, so your home members can check the temperature, control the relay, and use schedules.

History, alarms and temperature calibration

The thermostat records the temperature history, which can be analyzed on a daily, monthly or six-month scale. The data can also be exported to CSV. The calibration function allows you to correct the sensor indications, and high and low temperature alarms inform you when the set values are exceeded.

Time Functions

• Weekly schedule: automatic work by days of the week and hours.
• Timer: one-time on or off at a specific time.
• Time loop: cyclic on and off at set intervals, for example 20 minutes of operation and 40 minutes of break.
• Inching — pulse mode: automatic shutdown after set time in the range from 0,5 seconds to 60 minutes.
• Automation scenes: response to events from other compatible devices in the eWeLink ecosystem.

eWeLink ecosystem and cooperation with SONOFF devices

eWeLink is a multi-brand smart home platform. The thermostat can participate in scenes together with other compatible devices marked eWeLink Support, including selected SONOFF devices. For example, you can make the operation of the relay dependent on the state of another sensor or combine several automation elements into one scene.

The thermostat presented is not a SONOFF product. SONOFF is an example of one of the brands using the eWeLink ecosystem.

Important information

• The measures temperature, but does not measure humidity or energy consumption.
• The model does not have a delayed on feature.
• The DS18B20 probe is waterproof. The controller module is not designed for direct operation outside or in contact with water.
• When mounting outside, the controller should be placed in a suitable hermetic housing.
• For resistive load, we recommend maintaining a margin of 20 to 25% relative to the declared maximum power. For induction load, we recommend not to exceed 1/5 of this value.
• Connection of the device powered by mains voltage should be made by a person with appropriate knowledge and qualifications.
