How does the Zigbee Smart Rain Sensor work?

The sensor monitors the detection surface and reacts when drops of rain or moisture appear on it. Gold-plated conductive paths detect changes on the sensor surface, and the device immediately transmits information to the Smart Home system via the Zigbee 3.0 protocol.
