The manufacturer notes that Baratza Sette grinders are used to grind 1kg of coffee per day - including up to 100g of espresso grinding. Additionally, you should grind up to 150g of coffee for overflow methods at once. The intervals between grinding cycles should be at least one minute.

The Baratza Sette 270 grinder has 40 mm steel conical filaments that allow you to grind from 3,5 to 5,5 grams of coffee with a reduced amount of dust (depending on the thickness of the particles) per second. The manufacturer, Etzinger, estimates their optimal operation for several years. Cleaning is extremely simple, the construction allows for easy removal and reinstallation of the filament.

Grinding adjustment

The Baratza Sette 270 offers 30 macro degrees and a micro scale based on a nine-pointer, stepless adjustment to increase the precision of the setting. In practice, we first determine the thickness between degrees 1-30, and then we refine it on a micro scale. The range of milling allows you to obtain thicknesses ideal for both espresso and overflow methods: drip, aeropress or chemex. Enjoy any coffee you want!

Design and service

The grinder has a control panel equipped with three buttons and an LCD display. We can easily program the grinding time setting to an accuracy of 0.1 seconds. After determining the dose, we press only the START switch, and the grinder automatically had a certain time.

Another practical element of the Baratza Sette 270 is the universal holder on which we can attach a portafilter or popular accessories for alternative brewing: Hario V60, Clever or Able Kone. Direct grinding to the equipment accelerates and facilitates work with the grinder.
