Caffè 12 Tz Transa Electronics® coffee maker also called moka pot is a small device used to prepare coffee by brewing. It consists of three main elements: the lower part, the upper part with funnel and strainer and the lid.

COFFEE BREWING SYSTEM IN THE COFFEE MAKER

▶ Water from the bottom of the coffee maker, i.e. in the tank is boiled and steamed passes through the coffee in a strainer giving it taste and aroma.

▶ Then, ready coffee in the form of aromatic, strong and dense essence begins to collect at the top of the coffee maker (pot), until it reaches full level.

▶ The coffee maker operates on the principle of a low-pressure pitcher machine (the pressure in the coffee maker is about 2 bars), and the coffee obtained in it is strong, essential, aromatic and hot, but without coffee foam.

COFFEE FOR MOKA POTS

▶ For moka pots, use ground coffee with a medium grind size, such as a moka grind.

▶ It is recommended to use coffee with a medium or dark roast to achieve a more intense flavor.

▶ Many people prefer coffees from Italy, such as arabica, robusta, or blends of both.

▶ Coffee that is too coarsely ground can clog the moka pot filter, while coffee that is too finely ground can cause the coffee to overflow and taste bitter.

SAFETY VALVE

▶ The safety valve in the coffee maker is an important element that prevents the accumulation of excessive pressure inside the device.

▶ When pressure inside coffee maker increases, steam is released through the opening in the valve safety, which allows you to maintain appropriate pressure and protects against possible damage.
