WAY OF USE

First use:

- Wash the dish thoroughly in running, warm water, then dry thoroughly, preferably using a paper towel.

- Thoroughly lubricate the surface of the dish with a thick layer of any edible oil for its maintenance.

- Heat the dish on a burner or in the oven at high temperature (170-200°C) for 60 minutes until part of the oil is absorbed into the porous surface of the dish.

- After cooling, the dish should be wiped with excess oil, e.g. with a paper towel.

- Maintenance should be carried out in a well-ventilated room, because hot oil can smoke and produce an unpleasant odor.

- The better the first maintenance will be carried out, the longer the pot will perform its function.

After each use:

- The dish should be washed immediately after use, but it should not be soaked.

- Dry the pot thoroughly and apply a thin layer of cooking oil to it.

- The dish should be stored in a dry place.

Inadequate maintenance of the dish can lead to rusting of the pot.

This can be caused by long soaking, storing undried cast iron dishes in cabinets and storing acidic dishes in them. Traces of rust from cast iron dishes should be removed with a wire dishwashing machine or baking soda – the surface of the pot should be scrubbed until all traces of rust disappear from it, without fear that the pot will be destroyed. After this step, repeat the steps described in: First use.

Attention!

Before and after each use, wash, dry and grease the pot thoroughly — spreading a teaspoon of edible oil over its inner surface. Do not leave an empty pot over a flame or heat source. Cast iron is sensitive to rapid temperature changes, so heat the pot gradually to prevent it from breaking. Remember not to expose it to sudden temperature spikes even during storage.

Do not pour cold water over the heated pot – this will protect the cast iron from permanent damage.

The product should not be washed in dishwashers.
