MAINTENANCE OF CAST IRON VESSEL / SEASONING:

Before the first use and periodically (especially with infrequent use), the vessel should be properly secured. Here is a simple guide:

Step 1: Pre-cleaning

Wash the dish with hot water with soap (use soap only for maintenance). Thoroughly scrub with a brush, rinse and dry.

Step 2: Fat saturation

Cover the entire surface (inside and outside) with a thin layer of vegetable oil.

Step 3: Burning/seasoning process

• Protect the oven with aluminum foil (put out the bottom shelf)
• Preheat oven to 180-200°C
• Place the dish upside down on the top shelf
• Bake for a minimum of 60 minutes

Step 4: Cooling and storage

After an hour, turn off the oven and leave to cool completely. Store in a dry place without covering.
