FSO WARSAW M-20

The first Warsaw M-20 assembled from parts imported from the USSR rolled off the assembly line on November 6, 1951 at 14:00. The initial plans assumed production at the level of 25 000 units per year, but by the end of 1951 only 75 copies were created. In the initial period of production, the car was assembled from Soviet parts, only on September 19, 1953, the M-20 engine was assembled entirely from Polish parts. Exports also began in 1954. Initially, the car went to China, Romania, Albania and Bulgaria. On the basis of components dedicated to Warsaw, vans were also constructed: Żuk, Nysa and Tarpan.
