Laser level self-leveling mode:

Manual Leveling Mode:

In self-leveling mode, the line will flash to remind you that the platform is not leveled relative to the ground. If the angle is within 3°, the line can automatically align to the horizontal position. However, if the angle is more than 3°, the line will continue to flash to remind you that the platform should be placed on a horizontal and even surface.

Manual leveling mode means you can use it when the line doesn’t have to be straight. In this mode, the line will not flash unless it is straight.
