MoYu WeiLong V11 3x3 M

MoYu WeiLong V11 3x3 M is the basic magnetic version of the current flagship MoYu cube. It has classic magnetization between elements (piece-to-piece), springs and matte surface (frosted) without UV coating. There are no magnets in the core or MagLev system. It is the simplest and lightest variant of the V11, with the same body and the same adjustment range as the more expensive versions.

How it works

The cube has 48 magnets that clearly but without exaggeration help to close the layers. It behaves like a classic magnetic cube on springs. Without Ball-Core, the layers are not additionally set by magnets in the core, so the cube is slightly less "guided" than the Ball-Core versions. Some people prefer this, more traditional feeling. The corners are designed so that they do not fall out (popping) and do not twist in place. The elements also have a "dragon scale" texture, which is designed to reduce friction at rotation. The matte surface does not shine and has a moderate grip.

Regulation

WeiLong V11 has 8 voltage levels (tensioning) and 8 spring compression levels, which are 64 combinations of settings in total. They are changed with the attached MoYu key, without stripping the cube. The cube can therefore be set looser and faster or tighter and more under control.

How the WeiLong V11 versions differ

All four basic versions have 55,5 mm and the same adjustment range. They differ in finish, magnets in the core and rotation system:

• M (this version): frosted surface, springs, 48 magnets, 60 g.
• UV: is the same as M, but with a glossy UV coating that sticks better to your fingers. It weighs 61 g.
• 8-magnet Ball-Core UV: springs, 8 magnets in core, total 64 magnets, 63 g.
• 20-Magnet Ball-Core UV MagLev: springs replaced with magnets (MagLev), 20 magnets in core, total 100 magnets, 67 g.

For whom?

The M version will work well for a cuber who wants the V11 mechanism, but prefers a classic cube on springs, without magnets in the core and without UV coating. It's also a sensible choice when someone switches from a simpler magnetic cube and wants to have a wide adjustment, but doesn't need to pay extra for Ball-Core. The cube is admitted to official competitions.
