Tourist backpack Alpinus Otway 40L is an excellent proposition for all lovers of long, multi-day hikes. Thanks to its characteristic construction, it will also work as a climbing backpack on rocks and walls. An integrated, detachable rain cover with Alpinus Safety elements will make it easier to cover the route in changing weather conditions.

The Otway backpack is made of lightweight and very durable 400D nylon with waterproof properties. It is equipped with reinforced UTX buckles and world-class YKK zippers that are perfect for demanding outdoor activities. Green, masking color will be an interesting proposition for any lover of survival, military style. The 40L capacity can hold a lot of travel gear. It will work both on the mountain trail and during the weekend “city break”.

A distinctive feature of the backpack is the possibility of access to the main compartment through its front part and U-shaped zipper. Inside there is a mesh, breathable pocket that will protect your belongings from falling out after unfastening the flap and make packing easier. Charged from the top, the top compartment is extremely packable. You can easily pack a rope or trekking accessories here. In addition, it is equipped with a separation pocket for laptop and documents and a hydration system H2O. Inside, you can place a water bottle, which will allow you to constantly access the water without having to remove the backpack every time. The Otway model also features a front pocket with a Teflon, water-repellent coating and a laminated zipper. This solution will protect the equipment there from moisture and rainfall. The backpack has zipped side compartments with a large capacity with a classic outer mesh and adjustable straps that will allow you to attach e.g. large bottle.

The top pocket can easily fit a climbing or cycling helmet. Inside there is also a zipped mesh pocket, which will help you stay organized and separate small trekking equipment, e.g. compass, pocket knife or carabiners. An additional functionality of the Otway hiking backpack are also hard, laminated loops for attaching hiking equipment.

A convenient carrying system is the basis of any hiking backpack. We used contoured, tightly filled, anatomical shoulder straps, which on the inside are trimmed with soft mesh, thanks to which they dampen vibrations and do not dig into the shoulders. The ability to adjust them (width and height) allows you to change the center of gravity of the backpack, which is useful in changing conditions on the approach and descent. The tapes also have a rescue whistle, handle for stabilizing the H2O tube and numerous tapes allowing for compression of the luggage volume.

Wide waist belt filled with soft sponge significantly improves the comfort of use during long hikes. The belt has zipped, breathable pockets in which you can hide handy items such as a phone, flashlight or map. Wide straps with reinforced UTX buckle allow for stable fastening of the backpack within the hips, which makes it easier to take each step with a heavy load. The last element of the comfortable ACS support system is the anatomically contoured back. Padded with neoprene do not absorb moisture, they retain their flexibility and strength in various weather conditions. Special perforation allows for efficient air circulation, increasing the level of breathability and ventilation during prolonged use.

You can successfully use the backpack when traveling by plane. It does not exceed the standard dimensions of hand luggageo accepted by most airlines. If necessary, the volume of the backpack can be reduced with straps with buckles.
