Stairway machine is used to keep the lighting of corridors, staircases or other objects on for a specified period of time, after which the lighting will be turned off automatically.

Operation of the staircase machine AS-212

Attached with a momentary (bell) switch, the stairway machine supports the lighting for the time set by the knob. After the set time, the machine will turn off the lighting automatically. After turning off the lighting, we can turn it back on.

Buttons illuminated

If too many illuminated buttons are connected, the lighting may be switched on spontaneously or the lighting may be switched on permanently.

Maximum load current

The contact current specified in the technical data is the maximum value and may be subject to restrictions – more information. If the information provided indicates that the relay in the device is insufficient, it is recommended to use an external switching element (e.g. contactor) adapted to switch large impact currents.

LED light sources

If LED light sources and illuminated buttons are used, an incomplete switch-off phenomenon may occur (e.g. incandescent, flashing).

The machine does not have an anti-lock function, so locking the button (e.g. match) will turn on the lighting permanently (until the match is removed).
