  • Two diffusion optical sensors dedicated to detecting movement on stairs. Adjustable range (30-100cm), narrow detection angle (10-15°), 2 operating modes (distance and movement) and tilted optical path guarantee the correct operation of sensors for both open and closed stairs. The only such sensors on the market.

Why choose this smartLEDs staircase set?

  • Built-in configurator: Full and instant configuration of parameters (number of degrees, brightness, lighting time) is carried out directly in the controller using physical buttons. You don’t need a smartphone, app or internet connection.
  • Built-in smart twilight switch: The kit automatically controls the light depending on the time of day. The included light probe can be easily installed directly in the stair area.
  • Effective light animation: Lighting and extinguishing in the form of an advanced LED wave gives a spectacular, smooth visual effect, incomparable to ordinary, simple cascade controllers.
  • Universal fit (3-19 channels): The controller flexibly supports both short stair gears and larger staircases up to 19 degrees.
  • Precision stair diffusion optical detectors (PiR advantage): Unlike ordinary PIR motion sensors, advanced optical detectors (distance and motion) respond to precise intersection of the step line. This prevents the light from accidentally turning on when someone just walks past the stairs.
  • Intelligent control algorithms: The system automatically responds to the dynamic situation on the stairs (e.g. when two people enter from opposite sides at the same time).
  • Created for installers and electricians: Guarantee of quick and clean installation. The design ensures easy installation of the controller on the DIN rail in the switchgear, and the sensors – in a standard electrical box.
  • Polish manufacturer and full support: You buy directly from the source. You receive full documentation in Polish, national service and easy and quick contact with our technical support.

The quality of the LED wave determines the quality of the stair controller. Our LED wave is much more than just a simple sequential lighting of lamps.

Our controller realizes a real, extremely impressive LED wave, with the smoothness of lighting and extinguishing carried out in two stages and allows unprecedented in others adjustment of wave parameters to the user's preferences:Liquidity (0-7), Lighting time (0s-24s), Lighting time (0s-240s),Extinguishing time (0s-24s), Brightness, Step type (acceleration, deceleration or with a fixed step), Extinguishing direction (backwards, compatible).

Sequential lighting of lamps in this controller is lighting of subsequent lamps, at fixed or variable intervals, resulting from the parameters: Lighting time and Number of lamps and step type parameter

The first degree of fluidity - consists in the gradual (liquid) lighting of individual lamps with the possibility of adjusting the brightening time of a single lamp using the Liquidity parameter (0-7)

Second degree of fluidity - gives the effect of flowing and blurring the wave. With a sufficiently large value of the Liquidity parameter, subsequent lamps begin to ignite when the previous ones have not yet reached maximum brightness. Brightening of subsequent lamps is applied over time, giving the effect of blurring and flowing the wave (the wave front is just lighting up, while the tail is already shining stronger). This feature is a significant difference from other controllers on Allegro and determines the final effect, unparalleled in others. Extinguishing is similar.

The set is designed for effective control and automation of LED lighting of stairs in installations with control of each lamp separately. The operation of the controller can be influenced by changing the configuration parameters.

The controller acts as an intelligent time switch. In standby mode, the lamps can be extinguished or gently illuminated. Full lighting is turned on automatically when motion is detected by any of the ALFA sensors - in succession, lamp by lamp in the form of an effective LED light wave, starting from the bottom or from the top, depending on which motion was detected. If movement has been detected both from below and from above - the lamps are lit from two sides. After a certain lighting time, the lamps are successively extinguished or dimmed to the set backlight value, in a direction consistent with or opposite to the direction of ignition. In the case of dimmable lamps, switching on and off/extinguishing each lamp is carried out smoothly, and in the case of non-dimmable lamps – incrementally. There is a function to warn against turning off the lights (blinking, dimming, rocking, etc. ). If necessary, the illumination can be extended. If the attached light probe is connected, the operation of the controller can be blocked during the day by the built-in twilight switch.

  • Output current load: 2A x 19
  • Large controlled output power: 19 x 48W (with 24V lamp power supply)
  • Control of dimmable LED lamps (liquid, based on PWM method) and non-dimmable (jump)

NOTE: Dimmable are ordinary LED strips, where a single segment consists of 3 diodes and a resistor. In the case of other LED light sources, each time you should ask the manufacturer about the dimmability feature of the light source and the possibility of cooperation with the PWM dimmer. Some LED light sources (e.g. replacements for popular halogens) may include additional electronics that will make dimming difficult or impossible.

  • Control: automatic (using 2 ALFA sensors). It can also be manual (any button-free connectors) or mixed.
  • A refined algorithm that guarantees correct operation regardless of the method of activation of the controller (motion sensors, buttons, etc. ), the number of people moving up the stairs and the direction of their movement.
  • Possibility of integration with smart home systems (e.g. KNX, Fibaro, Crestron, Lutron, LON) through potential-free outputs.
  • Backlight function in standby mode after dusk (ranging from 0-90% of maximum brightness - dimmable lamps only
  • Full light switch function for a specified period of time

The configuration parameters of the controller have values set factory optimally for most applications, but you can always change them and adjust them to your needs using the built-in configurator (pictured next).

For example:

  • If you have fewer than 19 lamps, set the Number of lamps parameter to match the actual number of lamps/stairs.
  • If you have purchased non-dimmable lamps, set the parameter Liquidity=0
  • If you want all lamps to be extinguished SIMULTANEOUSLY, set the parameter Extinguishing time to 0.
  • If you want to turn off the backlight at rest, set the value of the parameter Backlight to 0
  • If the lamps are too bright, reduce the value of the Brightness parameter, e.g. at 70%
  • If you want to change the type and number of warnings before turning off the lights or turn off warnings - change the parameter values Type of warning and Number of warnings, etc.

Parameter values are set precisely (digitally). Configured according to your needs, the driver will work exactly the way you like it.

Setup is simple, stress-free and accurate, step by step, described in the instructions, but if you want, we can do it free of charge before shipping according to your wishes.

  • Blocking the lighting of lamps during the day
  • Installation of the probe is possible both outside and inside the house in the area of the stairs (the controller is intelligent - it does not block from lighting, which itself turned on, which is an important advantage over other twilight switches, whose light probes must be installed outside the rooms, in a place not illuminated by artificial light). The light probe must be connected to the DIS input of the controller.
  • 10 brightness thresholds (selectable) for light probe

NOTE: Instead of a light probe, you can connect another device (e.g. a switch or astronomical clock) or a potential-free output of any Smart Home system to the DIS input.

Our controllers have been working flawlessly with hundreds of customers since 2013. The hardware part is made on a professional printed circuit, we use modern, automatic surface mounting SMT and THT in lead-free technology, and the components come from leading manufacturers of electronic components. The software algorithm is perfectly refined, the drivers work correctly regardless of the method of activation (sensors or buttons) and the number and direction of people moving up the stairs. There is no fear that the driver will "get lost" if more people enter the stairs or different ways of activating the driver will be used in the installation (e.g. and detectors and buttons).

We care about the satisfaction of our customers and service at the highest level: telephone technical support, accurate product documentation (user instructions, installation diagrams, data sheets, guides).

The sensors offered on the market are mostly not suitable for stair applications. These are either PIR sensors with a wide detection angle and indeterminate range, reacting to people passing by the stairs or cheap optical sensors imported, incontinuing parameters, with high sensitivity to reflections and glare, e.g. from the white wall opposite, moreover, with high failure rate. These flaws practically disqualify these sensors for this application.

The smartLEDs ALFA and DELTA sensors are the only sensors known to us, actually suitable for detecting movement on stairs. They were developed by us in response to a gap in the market in this area and are 100% produced in Poland. These are active diffusion optical sensors operating in infrared invisible to the eye. They have a one-piece construction, a well-defined, adjustable range, a narrow detection angle and a tilted optical path, eliminating reflections. The available 2 operating modes allow proper operation regardless of whether the stairs (passages) are open or closed, with a white wall opposite. The small size allows for discreet installation, and it is also possible to choose the color of the sensor cover. The sensors are very good value for money.
