The heart of the set is the intelligent LED stair controller from smartLEDs - an advanced device for automatic control of stair lighting, supporting from 3 to 24 channels (steps) . The set is equipped with 2 precise optical motion sensors to automate ignition and extinguishing, and a dedicated Bluetooth application allows for convenient configuration of the controller's operating parameters from a smartphone.

• Precision diffusion optical detectors (PiR advantage): Unlike ordinary PIR motion sensors, advanced optical detectors (distance and motion) respond to the intersection of the step line. This prevents the light from accidentally turning on when someone just walks past the stairs.
• Effective light animations: Lighting / extinguishing in the form of an advanced LED wave gives a spectacular effect incomparable to ordinary cascade controllers.
• Intelligent control algorithms: The system automatically responds to the situation on the stairs (e.g. when two people enter from opposite sides at the same time).
• Polish manufacturer – documentation in Polish, technical support and manufacturer’s service – if necessary, there is no problem with access to a competent person and obtaining help.

The controller acts as an intelligent time switch for LED lighting. It has 3 operating modes: MAX, DAY and NOC, with different parameters, switched automatically built into the controller twilight switch, astronomical clock or real-time clock. In the standby state of the controller, the lamps can be extinguished or gently illuminated. When any of the control inputs are activated, full lighting is turned on according to the selected lighting/extinguishing style. In MAX mode, it is most often LED WAVE, there can also be another style (TOGETHER, PULSAR, COMET, SNAKE, CHAOS). NIGHT MODE allows different parameter setting, e.g. only illumination of extreme lamps at rest and replacement of lighting in the form of a light wave with another style, e.g. TOGETHER (or DO NOT LIGHT) and with less brightness. DAY MODE is a mode of locking the controller by twilight switch or astronomical clock, in which the controller does not respond to control inputs (motion sensors, buttons) and it is only possible to illuminate the stairs or completely extinguish them.

After a certain lighting time, the lamps are automatically extinguished or dimmed to the set backlight value. In the case of dimmable lamps, switching on and off/extinguishing each lamp is carried out smoothly (gradual change of brightness), and in the case of non-dimmable lamps – incrementally. The last two lamps can act as Master lamps – for general lighting or handrails. There is a function to warn against turning off the lights (blinking, dimming, etc. ) and function of operating the output on the mezzanine (activation by means of a button or motion sensor smartLEDs). The controller has a permanent ignition function via the application or, if the mezzanine function is not used, via the MID input (smooth simultaneous ignition/extinguishing of all lamps). The controller requires installation with control of each lamp separately.

OMEGA Exclusive is the most advanced controller from the smartLEDs family of staircase controllers, with extensive functionality, with an application for smartphone/tablet/iPhone , designed for convenient configuration, operation and maintenance of the installation.

For switching operating modes: MAX, DAY and NIGHT are built into the controller: twilight switch, astronomic clock and real-time clock. (No additional external devices are needed.) The method of switching operating modes is set in a convenient way using the application.

• Installation of the probe is possible both outside and inside the house in the area of the stairs (the controller is intelligent - it does not block from lighting, which itself switched on, which is an important advantage over external twilight machines, whose light probes must be installed outside the rooms, in a place not illuminated by artificial light). The light probe must be connected to the DIS input of the controller.
• 10 brightness thresholds (selectable) for light probe

NOTE: Instead of a light probe, another device can be connected to the DIS input (e.g. circuit breaker) or potential-free output of any Smart Home system.

The quality of the LED wave determines the quality of the stair controller. Our LED wave is much more than just a simple sequential lighting of lamps.

Our controller realizes a real, extremely impressive LED wave,with the smoothness of lighting and extinguishing carried out in two stages and allows unprecedented in others adjustment of wave parameters to the user's preferences:Liquidity (0-7), Lighting time (0s-24s), Lighting time (0s-240s),Extinguishing time (0s-24s), Brightness, Step type (acceleration,deceleration or with a fixed step), Extinguishing direction (backwards, compatible).

Sequential lighting of lamps in this controller is lighting of subsequent lamps, at fixed or variable intervals, resulting from the parameters: Lighting time and Number of lamps and step type parameter

The first degree of fluidity - consists in the gradual (liquid) lighting of individual lamps with the possibility of adjusting the brightening time of a single lamp using the Liquidity parameter (0-7)

Second degree of fluidity - gives the effect of flowing and blurring the wave. With a sufficiently large value of the Liquidity parameter, subsequent lamps begin to ignite when the previous ones have not yet reached maximum brightness. Brightening of subsequent lamps is applied over time, giving the effect of blurring and flowing the wave (the wave front is just lighting up, while the tail is already shining stronger). This feature is a significant difference from other controllers on Allegro and determines the final effect, unparalleled in others. Extinguishing is similar.

• Swinging, swinging (pendulum extinguishing of one or two lamps)

The function is available when using an additional (third) sensor or button. If motion is detected from the output on the mezzanine, the controller will turn on the lamp after the lamp, up and down starting from the mezzanine, according to the selected lighting style.

• Setting the brightness of lamps in the lighting and backlight state (separately for each of the operating modes and for the Master lamp)

• One or two last lamps can act as a Master lamp, e.g. for illuminating handrail or general lighting
• Master lamp is usually lit first and extinguished last

Our controllers have been working flawlessly with hundreds of customers since 2013. The hardware part is made on a professional printed circuit, we use modern, automatic surface mounting SMT and THT in lead-free technology, and the components come from leading manufacturers of electronic components. The software algorithm is perfectly refined, the drivers work correctly regardless of the method of activation (sensors or buttons) and the number and direction of people moving up the stairs. There is no fear that the driver will "get lost" if more people enter the stairs or different ways of activating the driver will be used in the installation (e.g. and detectors and buttons).

The sensors offered on the market are mostly not suitable for stair applications. These are either PIR sensors with a wide detection angle and indeterminate range, reacting to people passing by the stairs or cheap optical sensors imported, incontinuing parameters, with high sensitivity to reflections and glare, e.g. from the white wall opposite, moreover, with high failure rate. These flaws practically disqualify these sensors for this application.

The smartLEDs ALFA and DELTA sensors are the only sensors known to us, actually suitable for detecting movement on stairs. They were developed by us in response to a gap in the market in this area and are 100% produced in Poland. These are active diffusion optical sensors operating in infrared invisible to the eye. They have a one-piece construction, a well-defined, adjustable range, a narrow detection angle and a tilted optical path, eliminating reflections. The available 2 operating modes allow proper operation regardless of whether the stairs (passages) are open or closed, with a white wall opposite. The small size allows for discreet installation, and it is also possible to choose the color of the sensor cover. The sensors are very good value for money.
