Compress with pink coarse salt for bays

Our salt compress is more than just soothing for sinus pain or stuffy nose. Release your breath naturally and pleasantly! Gently heated, it can also relieve muscle pain and ear inflammation, warm up frozen hands and feet on colder days.

The pillow is made of pleasant to the touch linen. The outer cover is sewn on a tab, which allows it to be easily removed. Inside is a linen cartridge filled with coarse pink salt.

Salt has invaluable properties, especially as an ingredient in hot and cold compresses! Thanks to its unique mineral composition, it can work wonders on our body and health! It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial properties. Heated collects heat and releases it slowly. Cooled, acts as a soothing compress.

A compress with salt is a relief for clogged sinuses. It can be used as a warm or cold compress depending on the condition. Properly heated can relieve neck pain, ear inflammation or clear clogged and aching sinuses or nose. Such a warm compress can also successfully warm up freezing hands or feet. In the cold, we recommend it as compresses for headaches and migraines, swelling, inflammation, bruises, dislocations or swelling.

The compress can also be used at room temperature, as salt has a detoxifying, cleansing effect on toxic substances and analgesics. You can use it for relaxation. Simply place the compress over your eyes to ensure your eyes get the proper rest from the light sources. The small weight of the pillow gently pressing on the eyeballs allows them to relax and regenerate.

If you want to use the compress with salt as an eye pillow, we recommend its arrangement so that only part of the filling is on the eyes - adjust the weight to your needs. Move the rest of the filling towards the forehead or other parts of the face.

How to heat and cool a compress with salt?

HEATING THE PILLOW:

METHOD 1. Place the salt compress on a clean heater and leave it on until you think it is warm enough. The pillow can also be warmed up in the sun in the summer.

METHOD 2. Preheat oven to a maximum of 100°C. Place the compress in a clean heat-resistant dish. When the temperature in the oven reaches 100°C, put the compress in the dish inside the oven in the central part of the oven. Heat the pillow for 15-20 minutes. Now you can use the pillow like a warm compress! We recommend using a compress for 15-20 minutes.

ATTENTION! Do not overheat your pillow at higher temperatures to speed up its warming up. This can result in a rapid loss of health benefits.

COOLING OF THE CUSHION:

Put the salt compress in a clean container or string bag. Be sure to close the container/bag well to prevent moisture from getting wet and soaked. Put the compress prepared in the fridge for about 1 hour or in the freezer for about 30 minutes (depending on how cold the compress you want to receive). After this time, you can use it like a cold compress! We recommend using a compress for 15-20 minutes.

Care Tips

The compress has a removable cover for easy cleaning. I recommend gentle washing at a maximum temperature of 40°C with fabrics of similar colors using mild laundry detergents. Avoid chlorine-containing bleach and any other strong detergents that may weaken flax fibres.

The cover can be washed both by hand and in the washing machine on a gentle wash cycle, taking care that the textiles are not too compressed and can freely rotate in the drum of the washing machine. Spinning is inadvisable.

After removing from the washing machine, shake firmly and hang in a ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, which can cause fading. Do not twist, as this may cause deformation.

I recommend ironing slightly damp fabrics on the left side, otherwise the hot temperature can cause the material to shine. Linen can be ironed at high temperature (approx. 200°C).

The inner cartridge should not be washed. If the product is flooded with water, it should be thoroughly dried in a warm, airy place.
